Markel * ****** is such an unprofessional business owner. To start, Mark is a one man business. There is nothing wrong with this, but on the phone he refers to himself as “my guys” or “my team” in order to claim ignorance when the job is done poorly. The first day that the pressure washing was scheduled he never showed up. Calls 1.5 hours after their scheduled start time to say he needs to reschedule because “his guy’s truck broke”. Then he said he will do extra work to make up for the inconvenience. We were willing to give him another chance and rescheduled because things happen and we took his word. We rescheduled for a week later and he again was 2 hours late. Mark obviously has overbooked himself because he spent an hour on the house left dirt, muddy hand prints, and damaged one of our downspouts, before rushing off to another job. When we contacted him about this he threw a tantrum like a child cursing, claiming that he can’t clean aluminum siding and that “at least it looks better than the before pictures” and hung up on me. If he wasn’t able to clean the siding he should have explained why, but instead he just up and left. When I asked for insurance information to get the downspout repaired he refused. We have no problem paying for a service, and honestly would have paid more if he said the job had been under quoted and he needed to do more work than anticipated, but he didn’t, he just left the house filthy. Mark is targeting older people who cannot complete this work on their own and taking advantage of the fact that they won’t fuss when the job isn’t done well. I will not stand for my father to be taken advantage of by this scam artist. We don’t want any money back, we just wanted the work to be finished, but the owner is impossible to communicate with. All and all we are out $520, and I can’t emphasis enough that no one should do business with this man. I would urge you to also read the Facebook reviews where other people have said he threatens them.
