            The Stella Hotel did not honor a refund request despite a cancelation of our reservation, three months in advance of our arrival date (6/22/2023). While the rate was pre-paid, the cancelation was due to an unforeseen circumstance (funeral location changed) and would have limited disruption to the hotel's business.             A recent food poisoning at the Stella Hotel in downtown Kenosha. Called the manager to notify them. She became defensive and reflective and will do nothing about it other than make unreasonable assumptions. They will not take responsibility for their own actions . There are other extremely concerning reviews on various review sites that may be enlightening. These reviews contain concerns not necessarily to the same degree, but all occurred from their restaurant and overnight stay.
