    I Bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Ewald Auto Monday August 21st 2023. By Wednesday September 6th 2023 the check engine light came on. I called up To Ewald all day and night and couldnt get a hold of ****** who sold me the vehicle. I had the code read by Advance Auto Parts, Oreily Auto Parts, and AutoZone as well. All 3 said the same thing Cylinder 3 Misfire basically a bad engine. I Talked to ****** and *** Wednesday September 13th. On Thursday morning (September 14th, 2023) I dropped the car off to Ewald. Theyve given me the run around all this time. I finally get a call Wednesday September 20th 2023 at 5:57pm and was told its a cracker head gasket and that Im responsible. A head gasket doesnt just go out in two weeks. It has to already had of been going out. In the two weeks Ive had the truck Ive only driven it four days (to and from school). Its nothing possible i could have done to basically blow an engine. I just want my car fixed and fixed properly. I shouldnt be responsible for anything within 30 days of purchase. Especially not within two weeks of purchase. Its unacceptable!

    I recently bought a Equinox from Ewald Auto Group in ******** , **. Now the salesman was a friend of mine , thats why I went there.. I had asked him about other cars and trucks and he always had mentioned that they had a problem in some way or shape. He had texted Me a photo of a vehicle I might be interested in. So I went there to look at this suv. when I got there the truck was still dirty and was , as I was told undrivable at that time. He knew I wanted to buy something that day and drive it home. So we sat in front of his computer and and went through all the cars and trucks they had available . We settled on a Chevy Equinox and went to another of their dealers in ********* ***** and Picked It up. It drove fine back to the ******** Dealer so I bought it . Never was told that Chevy has a Problem with its 2.4 and 3.6 engines . the oil clogs the intakes or something like that so the the oil will not flow through out the engine, and destroys the engine. . A rebuilt engine is about 6000.00 plus dollars . They asked about insurance on the vehicle but if there was nothing wrong with the product why should i need it. Just keep changing the oil every 3000. miles , right ? . I just thought they wanted me to spend more money. I spent almost 15000.00 dollars already, Chevy is supposed to be a good brand , Right? My salesman never said there was a problem with those trucks. After being a Hero and saving me from -2 degrees and wind chill the night night it broke down 30 miles away from my house , He now wont even answer my text messages or calls. I waited almost two weeks before I called another mechanic to fix the truck , I've been out of work for three weeks now ?? Is that how you treat a customer or even a friend . ****************

    We sold the vehicle on 10/07/2023 as-is, the customer was offered a warranty at that time and declined. We would be willing to accommodate the repairs at a discounted price at our Cheverolet dealership in Oconomowoc. I will reach out to the customer today to see if we can be of any further assistance.
