Poor experience. Repeated request for deleating of incomplete application and ongoing automated abandon cart emails after unsubscribing. Not a good look for ****** and the partnership they have with CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance.

I asked to be secondary insured, and for my mother to be the primary since the vehicle is in her name. As well, I mentioned I do not live at her address. I warned them during the quote process, that she HAS to be the primary. Did not listen to me. Now they want to cancel our insurance because, they wrote it out as my name at my mother's address .. I don't live there, so I wouldn't receive ANY mail there. Fast forward, we moved in together to a new address and they sent me a Residence address verification form, I filled it out sent it in by email asked to have it expedited. Now they want to rewrite the policy, and refund my remaining policy term in 3-4 and have me pay 869 which went up from the ~750 I originally paid.

Connect has been the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Lower rates are not worth the aggravation and stress of dealing with them. If I were an Attorney, I would sue them for mental anguish. I renew every six months and it always involves major hassle and headaches. I had to listen to one of their agents tell me she had been working there for 20 years and if she corrected a $10. Error that was their mistake, she would lose her license, her job, her income give me a break! They nickel and dime me with every renewal. They dont know their business either. They have had me paying for lost wages coverage and I have been retired for five years! When I asked them if I would have been paid for this coverage I was paying for, they said no. The *** in ******** was the worst part. They could not make that more difficult and problematic if they tried. I cant imagine what they would be like dealing with an actual claim. After many years of putting myself thru ****, I am shopping for a new company. I will bask in the peace of mind that comes with dumping Connect.

We had Ameriprise since prior to 1994 and always were incredibly happy with both service and claims. Prices were reasonable. Now that American Family has purchased the company, nothing goes well; most especially just trying to log in to the website. The prices have grown astronomically and anytime I attempt to log in, I cannot do it. I have to call and , get this, they have no technical department to assist you in fixing log in issues. The agents are tasked with this which takes an inordinate amount of time during which you are on hold (and, I believe, the agent is talking to tech people, so why not let me talk directly to them). For some reason they have begun requiring my birth date to log in which is ludicrous for car/home insurance/ They claim this is for verification. Why is my member-id and password not sufficient. Instead of my password, they ask for my birthdate and it never works. Today, I discovered in their ongoing (for months now) system update resulted in an incorrect birthdate being stored for me at logon. This is so incredibly ridiculous. I have only stayed with this company because it is the one ****** uses for a discount for its members. I will next be finding a way to again report these issues to ****** and hope others have done the same. It is very disappointing that ****** uses this less than suitable choice of a company for their insurance discounts. Otherwise, ******'s services are very good.If I cannot even log in to their website due to system updates, month after month, how can I have any faith in their insurance services?

Signed up for home and auto with CONNECT about one month before my current insurance needed to be renewed. The homeowners insurance seemed like a great price at first, and they took full payment immediately. Then they scheduled a home inspection to be done, which could have been done easily within the one-month time frame. Instead, they waited until about two weeks after the CONNECT policy went into effect. Then, about another two weeks go by and I received a notice that my premium was going up. So, I called and was told that the policy is actually being cancelled because my home's value was more than they will insure. After I got my other insurance squared away, I call CONNECT to cancel my homeowners and was told it may take up to two weeks to credit my card back, funny it didn’t take two week to take my initial payment. So they cancel my policy and then hold my money, this is wrong as I need the money to pay for my new homeowners insurance that I had to get because CONNECT cancelled my policy!
I had a pretty good quote from my previous insurance provider, so I called them to see if I could still get that rate. I was told that because I switched insurance companies, my longevity with them would likely be affected. I received the updated quotes and they were higher, so overall I would have been better off staying where I was and not signing up with CONNECT.
If they had done the inspection sooner and informed me that they wouldn't be able to insure me, I could have just stayed where I was at a lower price. CONNECT should state upfront the maximum home value they will insure to avoid such messes. I feel penalized for trying to find the best deal I could. This is unacceptable, and if there was a ZERO rating for CONNECT, that's what I would have selected. I will never do business with CONNECT again as they have just cost me money and created a mess for me to sort out.

November 29, 2024, around 7:25 pm., my wife and I were heading towards ** **** ** *** ***** ******* passed by the toll gate when the accident happened. We were on the left lane when the other car started swerving and cut me off on our lane and stopped abruptly. We called 911 and police came and did the Investigation. Towing Truck brought my car to **** **** **** shop, I reported the Accident to our Insurance. The Adjuster called me and told me the car is already salvage and has been determined to be a total loss but I told her I would like my car to get fixed or at least be allowed to get a second opinion from a third-party or another adjuster. At first she said she's going to pay me the Amount of $ 19,743 then I texted her to send that full amount and I'm going to send her the Original Registration. After a few minutes she changed her statement that she will pay me the Partial Payment of $ 12,118.28 and I did not Agree. January 10, 2025, around 11:00 AM, they took my car from the shop without my consent or any written agreement. What she did is not fair and I felt like she's trying to rush the settlement and took my car without my permission. The adjuster from the company named Jenny pressured me a lot and treated me with disrespect despite the fact that we (also my wife) were still in shock from the accident. Hoping for justice from the unfair treatment we incurred.

The CONNECT insurance adjuster refused to take pictures of my roof damage stating that it was from the previous claim that I filed. I'd never filed an insurance claim. After I learned that my claim was rejected, I asked for information on the previous filed claim fearing that someone was using my information for insurance scam. The adjuster stated that there was no other filed claims on my policy.

The people working for this company lack knowledge of their own policies. Additionally, I feel this company is using tactics to scam consumers into incurring unnecessary additional fees.

I recently had to work with American Family Insurance after their member collided with my vehicle. The setup for repairs and a rental was fine, but the overall communication with the agent and the quality of the finished repairs were not satisfactory.Firstly, the agent, Colleen ********, was very difficult to get in contact with. When it came to negotiations, she made judgments based on her personal beliefs and ultimately ignored communications. One issue we faced was a repair that was not handled correctly, and there was no resolution to the matter. I eventually took the vehicle to a different shop for another inspection, only to be told that the issue was related to the original accident. The vehicle is now set to be repaired through other means, but please keep in mind that working with this insurance company has been a nightmare.
