I recently got a installment loan. When I agreed to payment the 1st payment was supposed to come out today 1/3/2024 in the amount of 170 and change. They took ****** which overdrafts my account. They said it's better to do a payoff. So when the 170 came out, the pay off was ****. Today the payment of 310 came out and it went up to ****. If I kept just making the installment amount I'd end up paying over **** dollars. With those 2 payments I am now over **** that is saying I will owe them. I cannot continue to make payments to get this paid off when the payoff amount and the amount owed keeps going up. Something needs to be done. This is unfair for the borrower and devestating.Business Response

In May 2023, I took out a $400 loan from White Pine Lending. I have already paid $1288 which is 3 times the amount of the loan I took out. I still have $715 dollars left to pay or the payoff offer is $439.7 months later and I still owe more than I took out. This is predatory lending. I can't afford this. I have medical issues and I can't buy food. There has to be someone who can help people like me. This needs to be illegal. I'm in jeopardy of losing my vehicle because of a loan that I've already paid three times over. Please help me.Business Response

On January 20, 2023, I entered into a loan agreement with White Pine Lending for $700.00. They have taken payments out of my checking account via ACH. As of April 14, 2023, they have taken out $1,266.66. I owed them $700.00. They are continuing to withdraw under different names and account numbers. They deposited under account number ********** and the name ******************** PINE *****. They are withdrawing under WHITE PINE LEND account number ********** (as attached screenshots will show). Under account ********** I have more than paid back ($1,055.55) and now, as of April 14th, they are taking out under the original name and have take out an additional ($1,266.66). I want this to be considered paid in full and for White Pine Lending to immediately stop withdrawing funds from my checking account and reported as a loan paidin full to my credit report.Business Response
