      My wife and I decided to go with Kerns for our new home carpeting since they are a family run local business. All went well until the carpet was installed. Upon inspection, we noticed that where the carpet was seamed, there were two different colors of carpet. I asked the installer and he said there's nothing he could do about it and to call the store and maybe they would offer a discount. When I asked why he installed it, he said he noticed the issue but he's contracted to install the carpet and wanted to make sure he got paid. So I called the store and talked to my salesman. He said I needed to provide pictures, which I did, and that they would file a claim with the manufacturer. That was two weeks ago and since that time I have been in contact with the salesman several times. To this point I have not been able to get an answer as to when I will get this problem resolved. Based on what the salesman told me initially, the new carpet should already be in their possession. Unfortunately nobody is willing to tell me that. I asked that he elevate this and have his boss call me. He told me that's the son of the owner and that he's asked him several times to call me. I asked for his number but he said he couldn't give that out to me or he would get in trouble. He then told me he's "at wits end and there's really nothing more he can do". That's a pretty sad commentary on the management of the company. Meanwhile, we can't fully move into our house since the carpeting in two of the main rooms is defective. I'm not quite sure how this business has a decent ****** rating just based on my experience. There are plenty of other flooring stores out there and I sure wish we had chosen a different one.

      Mr. ********* we are very sorry for the miscommunication and the frustration it has caused regarding your issue. We know that we fell short of your expectations. Demands from the recent flooding caused a breakdown in our processes, and we are taking immediate steps to resolve it.

      Behind the scenes, our team filed the claim with the manufacturer.  Upon approval, replacement material was ordered.  The store manager informed Mr. ******** Friday, August 29, of the progress and scheduled the replacement installation.  Our commitment is to ensure this matter is fully resolved.
