    On or before May 15, 2024, we were made aware from our Bank inquiry that someone at Novus HM MTG (Finance) had made a credit inquiry on our account. WE NEVER AUTHORIZED ANYONE FROM NOVUS TO MAKE THAT INQUIRY. It shows that it was made as a hard inquiry on our account. As a result, we had to revisit our future purchasing plans because our high credit score went down. However, we would like to know who at Novis Home Mortgage made that unauthorized inquiry, and if not, then we will take steps towrds Novus Head Quarters in Brookfield, Wi..

    We only went with this company, because we had purchased a different property through one of branch managers prior to him working at Novus. This manager passed us off to someone else at Novus, which became the most painstakingly unorganized process in our experience with purchasing a home. We were asked us multiple times for the same documents, even a month AFTER we closed. Bad communication, not answering our phone calls which caused us to close late. We sent documents quickly, even after being asked for the same documents over and over and over again. The whole process felt a bit sketchy at times. Our mortgage broker purchased points to lower our rate and never discussed this with us, we discovered this at closing and were quite surprised.Locked us after rates went up, even though we suggested earlier dates that we wanted to lock in. He did not listen and literally got us in at the last legal day to lock in a rate with the worst possible rate of the entire summer due to the presidential debate. BTW we have plenty of assets and excellent credit to qualify for a great rate (which he told us he we would get a good rate). It is almost humorous how bad this process was - we laugh about it now, but the process was like pulling teeth. Thankfully we closed on the home, which should have never been this stressful - we are well qualified. Never have experienced this outside of Novus and will never work with Novus again.

    Working with Novus was like a breath of fresh air. They took time to explain the process, answer my questions and most importantly make sure I felt really comfortable, and kept me in the loop with what was happening and when. I thought I was going to be a renter forever but now Im a homeowner!

    I received an email on Monday, February, 19, 2024 that my mortgage payment is going from $1311 to $1950 starting on April 1, 2024 due to taxes going up. I understand that happens, however Novus new this was the case back in October or November of 2023. I now have 1 month preparation to come up with an extra $600 for my April payment. I should have been told this in October or November. Very poor service and communication.
