I am reaching out regarding a vehicle I purchased from Bergstrom less than a year ago. Unfortunately, I am experiencing significant issues with the transmission, mounts, and shocks. Despite my efforts to resolve these issues through calls and emails, I have yet to receive a satisfactory response or assistance from the Bergstrom team.Additionally, I am concerned about the price at which the vehicle was sold to me, which was significantly above market value, especially given the current mechanical problems.Could you please provide guidance on how to proceed with these issues? I would appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and a resolution to both the mechanical problems and the service concerns.Business Response

I brought my vehicle in to have the front end and the - replaced. What's they did a good job prior to that? They diagnosed that my oil sending unit needed fixed or replaced. Which I said I would do after buying the part. I realized it was a difficult job and had them. Replace it for me upon getting the vehicle back. My order pressure was completely out of whack and something was wrong. I called multiple times and never received a phone call back until a week later. After they call me back. I told them what had happened by this time myself. And other mechanics pulled the part back out and realized they did not put the filter in supposed to. We found the filter in the cab of the vehicle. I told them this over the phone. They told me that I was lying. That is not true, they did not replaced it. Which in fact they did not. I had to buy special tools and ask other mechanics to help me replace it. Because they were not calling me back. They told me that their service guy has been doing this for over 20 years. And he would not lie about not putting a filter in and they have it documented. I don't care what they have documented. The filter was not in place when we went in to check. And we had to add a filter ourselves. This company called me a liar. They were rude. And so they will not do anything about it. I'm not looking for a full refund at this point. After buying special tools and having to do it myself. I need some sort of compensation back. Because they did not do the job correctly. They claim that we don't typically put in customer supplied parts. If this was the case, then they should've told me no. And they shouldn't have attempted the job but they did. And I paid, the service manager told me I signed off on the vehicle because I paid. I never signed off on anything. I paid over the phone and picked up the vehicle after they were closed upon driving at home and having the oil pressure issues is when we discovered the problem.Business Response

We recently purchased a van from this establishment and were offered financing option, which we took. The paperwork signing went by so fast that we did not notice, nor was it mentioned to us, the additional fees associated with the transaction. We aknowlage that separate from the van purchase price we also have to pay tax and tile fee. However, there were several other additional fees such as:-Service fee: $399 -Lien Fee: $10 -CVR Fee: ***** These fees I do not agree with and would appreciate either a check to my name or for the payment to be made directly to the financial establishment we were approved by: CAFCU.Business Response

The guest involved with this concern purchased the vehicle from Broadway Chevrolet store (Bergstrom Chevrolet) on Ashland Avenue. I forwarded the information to the General Manager at that location and did try calling the guest to ask some further questions and inform her of the situation.Customer Answer

Good afternoon,
We would like to respond to the recent concern by ******************************* regarding her purchase of a 2021 ****** Sienna, vin#*****************. First, we would like to apologize to ****** for any inconvenience we may have caused. Attached you will find 4 documents that show the concerned charges (Service Fee $399, Lien Fee $10, and CVR Fee $19.50) were not omitted as part of the transaction. All 3 of these fees are part of all the finance/lease transactions. All the forms attached have the fee and description of the fees incorporated, followed by appropriate signatures needed to complete the contract. At this time, we feel no refund is warranted because Broadway by Bergstrom disclosed all fees and gave opportunity for the buyer to ask questions (if any) before signatures were added. If any additional concerns arise, we will welcome ****** to call or stop by to discuss.
Thank you,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Hello,I have read the response from the dealer.
However, at signing none of it was verbally mentioned. So many forms and consents were signed but no talk about the ADDED fees (In my opinion, upcharges or any profit margins should already be included in the purchase price).
The sales representative did take his time to talk about add ons such as paint seal and other car warranties and those charges, if we so chose to add them. I don't understand why the actual additional costs of the purchase were not discussed.
Although I am not happy with this transaction I do understand this was my fault, for being clueless, and not reading every singe piece of paper that was put in front of me.
I would appreciate a refund for these items that I feel were 'slid' into the deal.
But if you do not wish to, I understand, I just would not recommend the establishment to anyone.
Regards,
