I purchased a SUV from Ritchie auto in August. Two days after, I got a warning light saying that I needed coolant. I called and they did help fix that issue but then my check engine came on at the same time that we were figuring out how to fix the coolant issue. The engine light was because of something with the turbo. They unfortunately wouldn't pay for this fix so I ended up spending $400 to get that fixed. They also sold me the car with very poor tires which costed me $600 and they would not reimburse me. Since having this car I have had to change two wheel bearings, the back up camera, a massive oil leak and A/C leak, along with the front wheel axels. I was not expecting to have so many issues with this car that they sold me. All of these issues should have been noticed by Ritchie Auto when they sold it to me. I do respect how they worked with me with the coolant but they were very disrespectful to my mom when she called to figure out if we could get a reimbursement about the tires. I suggest not buying a car from here!

WRITING A REVIEW SUCH AS THIS ON A 10 YEAR OLD CAR AFTER 8 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP IS AS CLEAR AS IT STATES. WE DID HELP AFTER THE **** EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT REQUIRED BY LAW TOO. I ALSO RECALL THE SITUATION WITH THE ****** YOU HAD A FLAT OR SOMETHING OCCUR A FEW WEEKS AFTER THE **** AND WHEN YOU TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP THEY UPSOLD YOU ON NEW ONES AND THEN CONTACTED US TO PAY THE ***** THAT IS NOT HOW WE OPERATE. WE EXPLAINED IF YOU WANTED TO BRING IT BACK TO US, WE'D LOOK AT THE ***** BUT YOU DIDNT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THINGS THAT OCCUR MONTHS AND MONTHS AFTER A PURCHASE. THAT IS WHAT EXTENDED WARRANTIES ARE FOR. WE ALSO ALWAYS LET OUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THEY CAN CONTACT US, WE ARE HERE TO HELP BUT INSTEAD YOU WENT TO OTHER OVER PRICED SHOPS IT SOUNDS LIKE WHO WORK ON COMMISSONS. WE DO INSPECT THESE VEHICLES BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD, AT THE **** OF **** THERE WERE NO ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE!

I am very pleased with my transaction with Danielle and her company. I found the car I eventually purchased on cars.com and showed up wanting a test drive. She and her staff made the process smooth and seamless. She sent a contract to my choice of lender and after completing the loan at my credit union, I came back with a check in hand. They even stayed open past their closing time on a Friday to accommodate me! I know if I have any problems within the next month, I can contact them and they will do what they can to keep me a satisfied customer. I recommend Ritchie Auto for your next vehicle.

Ritchie auto is nothing but a 5 star experience. With beyond reliable honesty, service, and detail (the vehicles look brand new), this is the place to buy. Such a quick and easy process too!

Beware, total waste of time. Owners Danielle doesn't even have the common courtesy or care to inform you if the vehicle your scheduled to look at is gone. Total waste of a business.

Unfortunately we have limited inventory due to the economy and we receive several inquiries a day on our cars. The amount of people who actually show up to view the car is low compared to those who call or message us. We can not help if a vehicle sells before someone gets there. This customer proceeded to then cuss at me and threaten to slander my company simply because it sold before she got there. It happens more times then I can count and apologized it did.

-100 stars. This company should be investigated. I and MANY other people have brought cars from them that break down or have something seriously wrong with them. I bought a 2014 Chevy Cruze from them and it had a cracked engine! They told me nothing was wrong with it even though There was. Danielle is a scam artist. And banned me from coming back when I asked for a refund claiming I was combative when I just wanted my money back. Yes they offered to fix it but I brought it in for them to “fix” at least 3 times and still had the same issue. They acted like they were doing me a favor trying to fix it for free when they sold me a broken car!! I have a 2021 Hyundai Elantra now I have had ZERO issues how it should be!!!

First off, calling our business a scam is completely rude.  We do not scam people.  We sell used cars at an affordable price.  We have certified technicians that to the best of their ability inspect and repair the vehicles.  When you contacted us for the issues you had, you purchased an "as is" vehicle and signed documentation saying so.  We are not required to help fix anything after the sale of a vehicle but chose to do so.  You even state in your review that we told you to bring it back if you were having problems with it to be inspected again and refused.  Simply writing a complaint when you chose not to bring it back to us does not make us scammers, it simply means you didn't want to give us the chance to rectify the issue.  We do not intentionally ever sell a car for it to have issues but we also are not a used car factory.  Our technicians are also human and may miss things from time to time.  If there was an engine issue missed it simply is because a full tear down of an engine is not done upon inspection or no used car dealers would be in business. I also would like to know the names of the "MANY" people because we tell all our customers if something comes up, contact us and we do not have problems with other customers as you so speak of.
