10/31/2024 They submitted fraud insurance paperwork which made the loan holder place a 1k fee for not having the right paperwork. I called and showed them the fraud paper work claiming i had a **************************************************************** get proper insurance. I bought a used 2016 ****** wrx from own a car on March ******. On April 6 2025 the car stopped running correctly. I understood the as is warranty so took it to a shop to be looked at on my own dime. The mechanic called and told me they refuse to do any work on it because the whole underside of the car, wheels, shocks, drivetrain, transmission block, brakes, exhaust and even under the hood belts and pullies were so rusted they were afraid if they touched anything it will just fall apart. I took pictures and went to the car lot to show them. They refuse to do anything about this. It is not safe to drive and I was driving with my children thinking it was a safe car. The mechanic told me one wrong bump and something bad can happen. I checked the Carfax report and it does not show anything about inspection being done before my purchase. I'm a first time car buyer so I didn't think of asking to look under the car for purchase. I trusted them. I gave every ***** I had saved for a down payment which was five thousand dollars. I rejected the dealerships response because the car they sold me is UNSAFE. I had to take it in to be looked at within 1 month and the shop showed me the amount of rust and damage that would never been noticed unless the cars on a lift. The parts that would be easy to see were painted over yet the paint is coming off revealing the rust. They purposely painted over it. Whenever I tried to contact the dealership I was avoided. I will attach pictures of the damage. The shop told me it is not legally safe to drive and could have ended very badly if a part came off or even worse, if in an accident because the whole frame is rusted to the point of just disintegrating.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealer *** explained to them right up front that I was having a hard time financing because I am a florida resident just working in ********** *** the person said we work with many credit unions and it depends on our relationship. They ended up getting me financed and I purchased the vehicle. After I agreed and told them I can put $5000 down and up to 7000 I got to the dealer to close the deal.and they said it would be 9000 down which was fine but I was not given a bill of sale and any Breakdown of what I paid and I asked for it many times. It was also included without my consent and extended warranty. I have also asked for my second key fob and was not mailed too me. I got my registration in the mail and it was registered in ********** even after I explained the whole situation with them and it had to be registered in *******. So they either made a big mistake or lied to the finance company by saying I was a ********** resident and used my washington mailing address and not my florida one. The causes many problems such as more money. In ******* it is alot less expensive since and less taxes. And now I lose my disabled parking permit due to it being linked to my licenses in *******. The dealer was very rude when I spoke with them today. To remedy this I either want it fixed and register it in ******* or give me the additional money back I didn't need to spend, i want this extended warranty canceled and money refunded from it. I am rejecting this response because: i told your sales team up front i was having issues with financing because I am a florida resident you made a copy of my license. You are the ones who asked if I had a washington address and it was explained multiple times I am not a ********** resident. now I paid 8.3% sales tax and florida charges 6%, paid a $430 excise tax florida does not charge, now have to transfer it to ******* which will cost me money. I remember exactly because inwas in the gym when I did the application online which then you called and asked if I had a washington address to use and again I explained to 3 of ypur people I am a floroda resident and that's why I was having a hard time getting financed through ************ unions and I dont remember his name but he responded oh that all depends on the relationship.we have woth the credit unions. Granted ill give you I missed it on the paperwork but I TOLD you it had to be registered in ******* and online credit app shows florida along with the driver ******* I sent you. And the GAP.and warranty inwas.t even given the option it was said to me when ypu we.t **** financing and the payment t was $803 " gap and extended warranty are included in that payment" if inwas given the option to add it on i Would have declined as I do all my own work

When I asked for the copy of the buyers order to see what the warranty cost the man on the phone said "what do you want that for", the title application i eventually got wasn't even signed. At this point I am Just going to let the attorney general.and department of lice sing handle it. Not giving me all the paperwork at the time of sale is illegal and I tried to be nice buy when one of your guys says " what do you want that for" says it all. And I asked you like 8 times for my 2nd key for was that ever mailed out?

I'm sorry you fell that way but that never happened we would never ask you "what you would need that for" we are always transparent and we always give copies of all paperwork, it seems like you are having buyers remorse which in that case unfortunately there is nothing we can do the title app and all paperwork is signed by you and the representative that helped you we wouldn't give you copies of paperwork not signed by you!

Oh would never do that, I guess like the recorded phone conversation I have with your salesman telling me not to tell the finance company about some things, or the unsigned title docs, or Washington DMV telling me I should have never been given a wa title, or the letters from you going to my house in ******* probing you have had my Florida address, or the fact you cannot even pull a credit report if the address in file doesn't match up with what's in my credit report. I don't have buyers remorse, I have dealer remorse you are shady and wish I could actually do something about your illegal actions

OK well I went to the car dealership to purchase a vehicle and after many many days of going through different cars and everything we finally agreed on a 2009 mini ******, which on the test drive drove fine and on day of pick up which was like three or four days later the check engine light was on and it ran like s*** and I messaged the dealer that sold me the car as soon as I left the Carlot and told him. Hey somethings not right And he refused to even look at it or to do anything about it. He just insisted that I waited three months and then trade it back into him which in my eyes told me what the h*** and he told me I needed to set up an appointment if I wanted him to look at the car and he didnt have a date of when he can set that appointment up And pretty much just insisted that I waited three months to trade the car in for something different. Why couldnt he just trade me something then and honestly I think they sold me a lemon because like I said on the test drive it drove good and there was no check engine lights , and then three days later the check engine lights on and it runs like s*** and its leaking oil everywhereBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: because I did not refuse it I asked and was told that he didnt know when he could get me in, but Im not trying to cause problems or have issues. I just want a car thats worth the money I paid because the car was not running right and I messaged the guy as soon as I left the Carlot and told him that things were wrong and he told me to wait three months and then traded in and he told me I needed to make an appointment and I showed up at the Carlot and he said he didnt know when he was going to be able to set me up an appointment I just need a car that securely safe and doesnt oil everywhere and have a check engine light and run like s*** I told him this as soon as I left the Carlot I didnt even make it to my house yet.

I got the car and nothing was offered to help ********** it looked at nothing and then you guys dragged it out this long and you think its OK and Im not even the first person that had a problem. The car itself is an 08 it says it on the door sticker that its an 08 but the paperwork says 09 so should I meet you guys at the Carlot to pick up my 09 mini ****** because I had not what I picked up.

9.25.23- My husband and I came in to look for a car that we wanted to finance as a gift to our son. I ended up working with ****, who initially I thought was a salesman (he ended up letting us know that he is the sales manager). Once **** ran our credit, he said we were approved for a vehicle and showed us the one that he had chosen. It was a Red, 2019 ****** Impreza. We took it for a very short test drive (approximately 1 city block). During the test drive we were told that we needed to come back with $1000 and then we could take the car to our son. We said we would discuss and follow up when we had the money available. 9.29.23- We came back to see **** before 10am the morning of the 29th. We brought a cash down payment of $1000 as discussed. We spent the next couple of hours doing the paperwork and then were told we needed to get insurance. Since the vehicle was intended to be a gift for my son and his family, I needed them to secure insurance on the vehicle. We had to leave again and work on getting insurance before driving off of the car lot. 9.30.23- We came back to the dealership before 10am to supply a copy of the insurance card so that we could leave and bring the car to ******* to give it to our son. On the drive over to ******* we started to notice that there was a noise coming from the front right wheel. This noise was pretty consistent at any speed over 5mph. There was also a slight pull to the right. As soon as we arrived in ******* we gave our son the car and took it on a test drive. He immediately noticed not only the noise and pulling to the right hand side, but he also noticed a fair amount of body damage on the rear bumper and passenger side. We took some photos and went for a short drive. We decided that we would take it to ******************* when they opened since it was the weekend.10.04.23- I took the car to ******************* in ********, ** to see if they could determine what was causing the noise. I was told that it was an issue with the right front strut and that it could also be a wheel bearing but did not want to do a full evaluation (I was unwilling to pay for the service since I was bringing it back to ****** the next day). 10.04.23- ******** called at 8:07am to confirm the dealership had fixed the issues with the vehicle. I told them that it was not fixed yet but that I was bringing it back the following day and would let them know as soon as it was done.10.05.23- I brought the car back to your dealership from *******. I was told that they would fix the strut that day. I waited all day but it was not fixed by the time the dealership closed. I called 5 times and when I finally spoke with **** he told me that even though the vehicle was not yet fixed, he wanted me to call the bank and tell them it was fixed already. I said I was not at all comfortable with that and he said they would go ahead and fix it and let me know when it was done. I was told the next day that it was still not fixed but again, they wanted me to call the bank and inform them it was already repaired (yet it was not available for me to pick up). I was told the part was ordered though. For 3 days I kept being told it would be ready and it never was. At this point it was getting very uncomfortable. I was not at all comfortable telling the bank it was fixed considering every day I was being told it would be done and the day would come and go and we still did not have the car back.I told the bank exactly that. I would be more than happy to confirm it was fixed once it was fixed, you all would not fix it though. I spoke with **** about what the next steps were and did not get a clear answer. When I spoke with the bank and asked about my deposit, they said they never requested a down payment. At this point I was even more confused.I went into the location and was told to call the manager. I called the manager and was told to call the salesperson. No one will help me to resolve this. I sent two emails with no response.Business Response

I came to this business on 8/24/2023 to trade in a vehicle and be a cosigner for another vehicle that would be under my nephew's girlfriend name, everything went well I put 7k down all paper work was signed we were told my nephew's girlfriend credit score was at the 600 **** took the vehicle and they kept mine. On 9/05/2023 I received a call from a sales person from that business name ****** stating that my nephew's girlfriend credit score was way too low in the 400 **** therefore I would need to signed a different loan souly on my name that nothing would change same payment, same interest rate. I went sign the papers thinking it was no big deal just a name change but came to find out comparing the previous paperwork my inters rate was hire and payments were higher too, I called that sales person and asked why it was different when he had told me everything would stay the same that guy said hold on let me check and hung up on me and would not answer my calls anymore. On July 30th 2023 I went to "Own a car" to sign the papers and buy a car. *******, one of the owners of the place did all the paper work where he include the price and the interest to be paid. we also signed a agreement where his company promised to fix the scratches that the *** had, and they compromise to do a interior detailing too. On August 17th I went to pick up the car and I notice that they use a different color to paint the back bumper, we talk to them and ask them to fixed and detail the vehicle since it was not done either. Traded in my car and purchased a truck from Own a Car on ****** in Dec 2, 2022. Went into Own a car and talked with finance on Dec 19, 22 about why my car hasn't been paid off. I was told that accounts receivable was new and that another person with the same lady name also purchased a vehicle within a week or two of me and that she got the accounts mixed up, that my car would be paid off within the next 4 or 5 days. Called on the 30th in the morning. Finance was not in at the time, left a message for a return call. Called back at 3 pm, talked with finance who then said accounts was not available. Was told they would call me back that day. No call. Wednesday I call again and I am promised that payment would be sent out Thursday morning over night. Thursday evening I get a call saying that they are trying to get pay off amount but they need my account number. I have made 2 payments on my car since purchasing the truck. They are telling me that the check is made out to me because they don't have bank information from registration but they can't give me the check because I have a loan with a company. I am once again going in the morning to take in my paper work and try to get this resolved but I don't feel that I will be able to.Customer Answer

I took in my sales contract and died her the amount that Own A Car said they would be paying and she stated that she does not have that information. It is in the same contract. Submitting a photo. Hello we are sorry about the confusion but when you trade in a car we legally have a 10 days payoff but in your situation when you are past due on your payment and we had to pay an extra $579 to complete the payoff even though we didn't have to but we still did because we care about our customers and our customer service. thank you and have a great day!
