      I went through Island Funeral Services in August of 2024 when my father passed. They were highly unprofessional from start to finish. When coming to pick up the deceased, the owner and her adult son almost dropped my father (an average size man) multiple times, eventually enlisting my fianc to make an emergency catch of the remains/******. The owner ghosted me for multiple weeks at a time and lied to me about how long it would take and how to access the death certificate (it took over two months through their business). Eventually a relative of my family went to the court house and informed me I could've walked in and used a kiosk to buy copies of the death certificate weeks ago, which the owner refused to tell me while continuing to not give me the copies I had already paid for and was promised weeks before. It is now July 2025 and I just had to request that same adult son to leave my workplaces private parking lot because he was playing with fireworks. This man had the nerve to be argumentative and to bring up my dead father when I was just doing my job. I am not one to typically write bad reviews or file complaints but this was my limit. I'm glad I kept receipts of my communications with this business and their lack of responses. Truly unbelievable behavior.
