In May of 2021, we hired Herema's to remove a tree from our property. This was done without incident. We got to discussing other potential services with the owner and agreed to have some fencing and deck work completed at a total price of $9000. We gave an initial deposit 50% deposit so that materials could be purchased. Work began on the fence and the owner asked for an additional $3500 to finish purchasing materials and make payments to workers for the work that had been done. Several weeks went by with little contact and no work happening. Finally on July 9th, 2021 the owner agreed to refund us the money less expenses for the work that had been completed for a refund of $6000. After many excuses of him not being able to get money to us - issues with the bank, sick, Covid shot, traveling, we finally saw him on 07/23/2021. he was only able to give us $1500 at that time. he had a conversation with my husband, stating he felt bad about the whole situation and was going to give us back the full $8000. We have this conversation on video. To date we have received the following payments: 07/23 $1500, 08/18 $1000, 09/02 $1000, 09/16 $1000, 11/17 $1000, 01/28/22 $750 for a total of $6250 returned. We have reached out to the owner multiple times with his last reply on 04/07/2022. We would like the remaining $1750 returned to us as promised.
