On January 27th, 2025, I was solicited by sales ***resentative to quote processing for both Mommy and Me and Black Eyed Susies. To provide a quote, I gave him December sales summaries for both stores, but clearly stated that both businesses are seasonal and the December numbers were not ***resentative of a typical month and to please take that in to account when providing a quote. The quotes provided by Clear Choice Payments showed that my projected savings would be ~27%. Both sales *** and the ***resentative of Clear Choice Payments confirmed that the quote included all fees both processing and equipment. Based on the expected savings, I agreed to change services and DID NOT expect a separate equipment charge. After the first billing cycle, I began asking for a review of the fee structure for both Mommy and Me and for Black Eyed Susies. It was obvious that my fees were higher and there was NO savings at all, much less the promised 27%. I was mislead by their ***resentatives stating NO LEASE or CONTRACT was required. In addition, I was pressured in to signing the paperwork quickly with ***resentatives stating it is a USER AGREEMENT and not a LEASE agreement or a CONTRACT. I was NOT told by signing the paperwork, I would be legally bound with a contract for 48 months. In February, I began calling questioning why the fees were so much higher than expected. **************** responded to my calls but was unwilling to resolve my issues or to review the excessive charges. Because of lack of response and the excessive fees that my business cannot justify, I emailed stating my intention for early cancellation on April 29, 2025. Fees continued to be withdrawn from my bank account through May even though my last day of usage at both stores was April 28th, 2025. May 2, $189.00 x 2. May 8, $189.00 x 2. May 15, $189.00 x 2. Total $1,134.00 May 15, $277.19 and $215.97 Total $493.16 equipment fees. After these charges, I had my bank stop payment and disputed the charges.Initial Complaint

I signed up to change over my credit card processer from Wix to Clear Choice in October of 2024. I signed up with the understanding that I could not officially switch until April of 2025 as I had to let pre-sale items clear my *** system. They were going to replace the processing, the *** system and replace our website.I have been billed monthly for multiple different services, despite the fact that I am not using ANY of there services currently that they promised that would be seemless, because they cant get them to work. They slowly process refunds, and I mean slowly. I am currently owned $731.19 from this company and I dont expect to see it any time soon.I was advised that this would be a seemless transition and this has been anything but. They assured me that my day to day operations would be the same as what I have now. They sent me a clover *** system to replace WIX and it did not have anywhere near the functionality that I have today. It took two months of troubleshooting and complaining but they finally took the *** system ******** we are trying to get WIX to hook up with their payment processing and again, all we are doing is troubleshooting. The end result will not be the same as what I have now. The process will be more cumbersome than what I have now. It is now June. I am working on opening a second location and do not have time to continue trying to troubleshoot how to make this work. Overall the team is very inept and unable to communicate.I have asked for months for them to just let me out of this contract. At one point they said if tech support cant get it to work, then we will let you out. Now, they are refusing. It has been two months of troubleshooting. It is costing both of our businesses more money than this is worth.I am seeking to be let out of my contact with Clear Choice.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction was 06/05/2024. This company harassed me with phone calls when I opened my business to use their credit card processing machine. The salesperson came to my business location and I signed up because I was told I could save my customers money on processing fees. A very long story short. They sent me an over 50 page contract to lease the equipment for 4 years and I got locked into a contract that I do not want. However, buyers remorse is not my complaint. My complaint is that their reviews are fake and I relied on them. ****** and and ******** both. Its easy to see they paid people to leave these reviews. My next complaint is that my salesperson was ******* ******** The salesperson listed on the online contract was Harmony ******* The in person salesperson provided me with no contract. She only had me talk to people over the phone and had me sign by email. This is a deceptive practice to keep people from their right of recision. They know that if a transaction or agreement is signed online that it voids that right. I have a right to be told by my salesperson that I have a right of recision and a right to cannel. ******* ******* informed me of none of this. I have it all on camera. These are bad people. This is a terrible business and I really hope someone stops them.Initial Complaint

I am trying to update the current complaint. The business (Clear choice) finally reached out to me because of yall but they are still bullying me and not letting me out of the contact even though I have grounds to have the contract terminated.
Clear choice admitted they didnt integrate my machine correctly. I never authorized for them to charge 3.95% but apparently my customers were supposed to be paying. They just told me I still cant get out of the contract even though they screwed up unless I use them for another 30 days. They need to leave me alone.
Since filing my original complaint, I have discovered that Clear Choice Payments is refusing to honor their written Guarantee of Savings (attached), which clearly states I would be released from all fees and contract obligations if they did not show savings. My fees have significantly increased, I was denied access to full statements for over a month, and now they are demanding a buyout fee to canceldespite their guarantee. This company is stalling resolution, continuing to debit my account, and using bullying tactics to keep me locked into a costly agreement I never would have agreed to under full disclosure.
issue, they have refused to honor their satisfaction guarantee or release me from the contract as promised. I feel I was misled and taken advantage of by a company that did not act in good faith.Initial Complaint

I was approached about changing to a different credit card possessing company in Oct 2024. I was told, less fees and no contract . The sales person completed my account set up over the phone with company called Clear Choice. Nov 8, 2024 I received my equipment and had a phone call with the install ****** at that time I asked again if I was lock into a contract....I was told NO. I installed the new system that is linked to my business checking account. I received an email from **** *******, Merchant Experience Specialist for ClearChoice. I started having fees taken directly out of my checking account. I found out later I am lock into a 48 month contract, I contacted **** ******* and told him that I was very unhappy that I and locked into a contract and said I want to cancel, and I had not used the system yet, he would not cancel and started to take fees directly out of my account. I contacted **** again and said If i can't cancel I will go ahead and start using the system, but I was still very unhappy with the company. The salesperson came back and apologized for signing me up and that she no longer works for the company because of how they do business. I am still using their system, but I have had a lot of fees taken out of my account and I don't know what they are for, so I tried to contact **** ******* again to ask what I am paying for and cannot get a response. I was misled and lied to when I signed up to do business with Clear choice payments. The agent told me that the Pos system is free and she did not disclose that it was a contract until the day of signing. When asked about the terms and agreement, I was told by agent that if I wasnt satisfied she would cover the $600 cost to cancel. Now Im being told that I cannot cancel and Ive been waiting for a call back since March 7. Im unable to get a hold of the agent who signed me up and Im being told that all refunds that have been processing since last year are no longer available because Im canceling. I am being charged from different business names that are under clear choice and they refuse to give any information on what the charges are for. I was only informed that my charges would be $120 per month. It has been more than that for months. They are also refusing to take their machine back.Initial Complaint

Im filing a complaint regarding deceptive, unethical sales practices conducted,in relation to a merchant services agreement I was misled into signing. On a Sunday morning,Mr.***** visited my business to offer merchant services through your company Clear Choice Payments.During our conversation,Mr.***** assured me that he could cut my current merchant service fees by more than half and that the point-of-sale equipment would be provided to me at no cost.He explicitly stated that there would be no upfront expenses, and that I could cancel the service at any time without penalty. We spoke for hours during which I asked several times for clarification on the terms.I clearly and repeatedly asked,"So the machine is completely free, and I wont have to pay anything out of pocket? And I can cancel anytime I want?"To which Mr. ***** responded affirmatively each time, continuing to omit any mention of a non-cancelable 48month lease or any early termination ******* no point did he disclose that I would be entering into a long-term,non-cancelable lease for the equipment.Based on the verbal representations made by Mr.*****,I agreed to proceed under the belief that I would be receiving a fixed monthly service with no lease obligations and that cancellation would be available at my discretion. However, during the signup process,Mr.***** stated he was contacting his company to send me the contract, which I believed would reflect the terms he had verbally *********** wasnt until later that weekafter further review and researchthat I realized I had been misled. The contract I signed includes a ******* non-cancelable equipment lease, directly contradicting what was promised.I am requesting immediate termination of this agreement on the grounds of misrepresentation, omission of critical information, and unethical sales practices.I am willing to pay a reasonable termination fee to exit the service, but I absolutely do not agree to the 48month lease for equipment that was promised to me as free.Initial Complaint

I signed up for Clear Choice / Riverside back in December of 2024. What they quoted me is not at all in line with what they billed me consistently. Working with them for merchant service / payment processing ended up costing me almost 3x what I was previously paying. I switched to a different provider in January of this year and called to cancel, they acknowledged the request and said I wouldn't be billed anymore, however they have continued to bill me multiple times a month even though I haven't done any payments through their old system. I've called multiple times and emailed, they keep saying they'll look into it and that the cancellation department doesn't take inbound calls and it's a ticket system. I requested a cancellation at the beginning of January and this is costing my small business a lot of money on an ongoing basis. I want they to honor my request for a cancellation and full refund of all the money they STOLE from me after I discontinued use of their services.Initial Complaint

Company lied to my employees and myself as the owner, they told us to sign paper work for a new credit card machine with lower rates then previous provider. They stole thousands of dollars from my bank account, and now are threatening to sue me for something I was lied to about. A DEFINITION OF A CONTRACT is as follows: a written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.WHEN in fact this scam of a company LIED to my face. There is not a single agreement in place. Unless you call the art of deception a valid contract. I was told I would be given free equipment ( a lie ) I was told my rates would be lower ( a lie.. they TRIPLED) I was told there was no contracts ( a lie) I was told my first month of processing was FREE ( a lie) A complete joke of company.
