My husband and I decided on solar panels in 2022 when this company came to our home and did a presentation for us . When we agreed we were falsely informed of tax incentive and I specifically asked if it would be a loan against our home as I told the sales man I did not want that . Much of the information given to us we have come to find out is wrong and the misled us alot . My husband called several times sense we filed our taxes that February after to discuss the tax information we were given. They avoided calls gave the run around and overall lied to him repeatedly and did oh well its done nothing they can do . Sense then we have recently leaned that our loan is actually pushed through as a second mortgage and it is a lein on our home . Which he knew I specifically did not want . The first amount sent to us was only ***** or so and then a second was sent through for ***** due to us getting a tax rebate check back . Which we have found out is not they case they have not provided a itemized cost when requested . Or what the extra 20 thousand was for . They use predatory practices and lies . When looking back at the generic contract without any of our information other then the first page . They have specifically places that state to not blame them for misleading tax information and statements about arbitration and lawsuits . They have numerous complaints on review about the same thing . We have found sense working with them . This business prays on people and locks them into contracts that they know will cause them harm . They lied and said we would not have an electronic bill and it would replace it not once have we not had a bill even in the summer months.Business Response

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We genuinely apologize for any frustration or confusion you've encountered. We strive to provide transparent and accurate information, and we're committed to addressing your concerns.
Regarding the tax incentives, its important to note that we are not CPA's or accountants, and any information we provide about tax incentives is purely informational based on what is available through the federal government. We cannot guarantee the receipt of any tax incentives, as this is dependent on individual circumstances and should be verified with a tax professional.
Concerning the loan on the equipment, the financing with Enerbank is structured as a UCC-1 filing, which is a lien on the equipment itself, not a second mortgage on your home. However, this UCC-1 filing can be temporarily lifted for any Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) for 45 days if needed, per Enerbank. The payment disbursements from Enerbank typically occur in two phases: the first milestone payment of 60% of the loan value is released upon contract approval, and the remaining balance is disbursed after the solar installation is completed.
As for your concern about the contract and the cost, we want to clarify that the information provided in your complaint is not accurate. We have the contract signed by you, which clearly outlines the total cost of $56,000. This amount is aligned with the Enerbank milestone disbursements of 60% and 40%, as per the terms of the contract and installation of the solar equipment.
We also want to clarify that we can only control what your solar system will produce in terms of kilowatt hours per year. At the time you signed up, we only had access to three months of electricity usage data from the utility company, which was used to estimate your system's production.
*** has reached out to you to discuss potential solutions and address your concerns. We aim to resolve this situation in a way that is satisfactory to you. However, please understand that we have no control over tax incentives and cannot guarantee them, as stated during our welcome call.
We apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience this has caused, and we are committed to finding a resolution. If you have further questions or need additional clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
While they seen very concerned we have reached out to them as soon as a couple months after installation with concerns all to have the same response. They can't be held responsible for any misleading information as its all just what could be possible not reality. *** the owner is trying to get us with the mortgage guy to prove that we are wrong about the lien as we have been told multiple times and ge won't believe us about the second mortgage position. As well as suggesting we manipulate our taxes to owe the government money to then break even with the write off . As much as suggesting we add children we don't have to our work tax with holdings . He is currently offering to try to find a responsible resolution without really taking any accountability for the presentation his company is pedaling to consumers to get them to agree . We are still currently waiting for a response to our request for an itemized sales report to submit that to a lawyer as well as all the contracts. as well as we have heard nothing more from the mortgage guy . I believe the intent is that we will let this go if we are able to our heloc we were wanting but that won't be the case knowing everything we do . We are still waiting to respond to the business with our request after we receive itemized list . This has no current resolution.
Sincerely,

**Response to Complaint #********:**
Dear *************,
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. At ******************, we strive to provide excellent service and address any issues our customers may face. We understand your frustration, and we genuinely regret that our efforts to resolve this matter have not met your expectations.
Since your initial contact, we have made several attempts to address your concerns, including providing detailed explanations and documentation about your solar installation and financing options. We have provided you with an itemized report on your account on August 23, 2024, at 8:57 AM, as requested. Our goal has always been to ensure that you have all the necessary information to work with your bank regarding the lien associated with your home equity line of credit (HELOC).
Regarding your feedback about the lien and second mortgage position, we have facilitated discussions with the mortgage professional to help clarify the situation and provide solutions that align with your financial needs. We also communicated that a temporary lien lift is available for 45 days while your HELOC is processed, a common practice in such scenarios. However, we respect that this requires your direct engagement with your bank.
It is important to note that we have never suggested any actions regarding your taxes that are unethical or illegal, and we apologize if there was any misunderstanding in our communication. Our advice was solely intended to provide general information on tax credits associated with solar installations, which are designed to benefit homeowners.
While we are actively seeking a resolution, its crucial to have open and cooperative communication. We have done our best to comply with your requests and have provided all the documentation and resources needed for you to take the next steps. We are still willing to work with you to resolve this matter fairly and effectively.
We remain committed to finding a responsible and satisfactory solution and await your response to our latest communications. If you have any additional requests or need further assistance, please let us know, and we will do our utmost to support you.
Sincerely,

We went with Wire Nutz Solar for our solar panel installation. We were promised many things thats helped persuade us into going solar. The first red flag we came across was that it took 3 months after the installation for our panels to even turn on and begin producing. We were so excited once the panels were finally on and we were able to see that they were producing until we received our $90 PGE bill. When we signed our contract, we were told that the panels would be using a net-metering technique and even in months that weather is not great and production is low, we would not have a PGE bill because the extra production during sunnier months would net together. We were also promised that the number of solar panels that were sold to us and installed would produce enough for our average electricity use. We have only had the solar panels on for less than 2 months and were told that we have low production due to the weather and possibly trees, even though as mentioned, we were told our solar panels and the net-metering would make up for the months that produced less due to less sun. We're paying nearly $50,000 for solar panels that aren't doing anything for us because of the lies that we were told when being sold the contract.Initial Complaint

We purchased solar panels and installation (installed 9/27/2022) from ********* under the assumption (based on their repeated assurances) that we could get tax rebates for not only the cost of the solar panels and installation, but also the cost of a new roof to more adequately support the new solar panels. When we submitted our information to their contracted tax specialist (one of their services--to draw up the tax forms on our behalf), we were told that we could only claim tax rebates for the solar panels/installation, but not for the costs associated with the new roof. We have contacted the company directly for resolution. They referred us to our their sales **** ********************** who initially indicated that we should have gotten the credit, then said he was making progress, but then disappeared. As this was a selling point and one of the major reasons for our decision to get solar panels this year, we are quite upset with the dishonest tactics of the company and now find ourselves potentially out ~$5,000 as a result of their fraudulent claims. We would like ********* to provide us with a billing adjustment or refund equal to the amount of the tax credit that they falsely claimed we would get for the installation of our roof in connection with their solar project. 30% of the cost of our roof would equate to $4634.00.Business Response

The owner of the company just went and met with *************************** and handed him a check for $4634. We talked to the sales rep and got more information on what happened when the job was sold. We have corrected the behaviors so this does not happen again. We apologized to ***** and explained to him that we have corrected the issue so this does not happen again. We feel the issue has been resolved and this complaint should be marked as satisfied as we have done what ***** asked us to do.Customer Answer
