I am rejecting this response because:

My wife originally called the business first, she was calm and polite, she let them know that we had actually taken our car to ********** first, she went there to get a transmission fluid change first, they proceeded to lift our car, and immediately came in and said they could not do the change because there was a massive leak, I believe they also notated this in their system obviously for liability purposes, and they stated if we wanted the fluid change done they could but it would leak out, they advised we go get the leak fixed. ********** did not mention a missing ring or anything, they did not state the leak was created by the work previously done. So that is two different respectable auto places that stated there is a leak. We have had Car Tech auto work on our other cars as we have four cars, we were referred to them after ******* had worked on our car and charged higher rates. If you look up ******* auto there are multiple complaints similar to ours, and multiple complaints about charging higher rates then others. After leaving ********** our car barely made it down to Car tech auto, they actually had to push our car into the garage, because there was pretty much no oil left.

My wife let ***** Auto know all of this, that we had no idea the leak was caused by their faulty work until we were getting the leak fixed. We trusted ******** as stated they worked on our other cars with no issues, and they are highly recommended. The *** from ******* took the information and asked us to email the invoice of Car Tech to them. They called back hours later and said we should of had the car towed to them, he also told her they were sold a faulty axle, and sense we didn't bring the car to them they wont get reimbursed by the manufacturer so there is nothing they can do. She told them we are not mechanics we did not know the leak was due to their negligence, so how would we have known to take it back to them, and also if it was due to their negligence, why would we want to bring it back and have the same thing happen. The *** told her sorry nothing can be done it should of been towed here, Car Tech is only 15 mins from them.

That is when I got on the phone upset because for one we were heavily over charged by ***** Auto for the work they did, and they did it wrong by not placing the ring or missing part in the car, matter of fact it doesn't sound like they had the piece to begin with because how did they get missed. The *** admitted to my wife they couldn't get ***laced for the faulty axle. I am sure ********** will have it in their notes there was a massive leak

They charged 2400 just to change the left and right axle, and wheel balance, many auto garages told us that was outrageous, as stated there are multiple complaints of them charging higher than normal rates.

I hope many people are able to see this, and the fact that ****** is that much of a strain for them is concerning, they did faulty work that caused another issue, we will go to claims court as well if this cannot be resolved through BBB, because it is the principle at this point, they did faulty work, they need to just pay for their fault and we can move on, but we will not let this go until its resolved.

    Sincerely,

    **** ******

ech notes from the repair showed: The left front axle shaft was recently replaced; the left front axle ring was missing, causing the axle to pull out and leak.We called ******* Independent Auto and told them their faulty work caused damage to our car that we had to get fix, they stated we should have brought the car back, but we did not know their work caused the damage until we got our car repaired. They stated they won't get reimbursed for the faulty axle they put on the car so they cannot reimburse us since we did not have them fix the issue. So, the guy admitted on the phone they were sold a faulty axle by the manufacturer, and they are not liable. We just want the ****** we are out for damages they caused by doing faulty work.

    Business Response

This customer never contacted us prior to taking it to another shop.  Had Mr ****** called us, we would have warrantied the work done (at no cost to him), if it was indeed faulty.  Since we were not given the opportunity to inspect the parts at the time of the alleged failure we cannot say without doubt that there was any failure.  We do not have any relationship with ****************** and cannot just take their word as any proof since we have no idea about their ethics or integrity.  For all we know, they saw an easy sale and went with it.  I am uncertain why Mr ****** is calling them "our mechanic" as he also stated on a phone call with me that he had not been to Car Tech previously.

Warranties are only good at the location and company from which the work was originally completed.  This is basic and common knowledge.  You dont buy something at Macys and then try to return it to ****** right?  If your dishwasher needs repair, you dont call the **** guy, do you?  Would you call the concrete company if your garage door wont shut?

Additionally, when Mr ****** called to demand a refund, he proceeded to curse at and berate our staff member that answered the call, calling him a "transvestite" and other appalling names, as well as continued screaming and cursing at multiple staff members as he called over and over, again.  This behavior and treatment of our employees is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.  Mr ****** is not welcome to visit our location at any time in the future.
