1 starI am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Banfield Pet Hospital in ********. On July 17, 2025, I brought my dog Rocky in for a bandage replacement agter one had fallen off. During the visit, he became visibly stressed and struggled to breathe. Two people present at the time witnessed his distress, though I understand their hesitation to speak up because of their positions. Also I was informed by two vet techs that if the issue returned I would have take my dog elsewhere for surgery when ** told me surgery could be done there. What concerns me most is that no medical record about Rocky's condition was written at the time of the visit. Instead, a note was added to his record a full week later, on the exact day corporate received my written complaint. That note claimed things that were not accurate, including that I specifically requested to see a particular veterinarian, which I did not.and even wrong date of service. Additionally, following a post I shared on my personal social media page about the visit -- where I did not name the facility or any staff and where I even praised the doctors I have trusted for years -- I was informed that my Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) had been terminated by his vet . This decision was made without any direct communication with me and contradicts what I believe to be ethical veterinary standards. Vet refused to call me back after leaving a message to discuss what had happened and my dog who was still under his care. I guess he is fine with vet techs speaking for him and telling clients they would need to go elsewhere for surgery As a longtime client who followed my trusted doctors when they transitioned to Banfield, this entire situation has been heartbreaking. My intention in sharing this is not to be malicious, but to stand up for Rocky and to urge Banfield ******** to uphold transparency, integrity, and the compassionate care our pets deserve. 1 starI took my dog in on 7/27/25 with a chief complaint of pain causing him not wanting to walk, I was told that the xray machine was down so he wasnt able to seen 100%. He was prescribed pain meds but my dog still hasnt had much relief! I spent ******! I will not be returning to this place!Review fromenno k

1 starBuyer beware. I signed up for a *** in 2020. Was told when signing up that if I was dissatisfied with the service I could cancel at anytime. What they fail to mention is they set you up for auto renewal and if you do decide to cancel they continue to charge you up until your renewal or pay in full for services used during the period or the remaining amount owed for the year (whichever is cheaper). The services being charged by and large are far more expensive than typical Animal Hospitals. This whole scheme is a scam and I urge everyone to read the fine print. I received a reply from Banfield about emailing an inbox, I did and still no rectifying of this situation. Again beware of these shady business tactics.Banfield Pet Hospital

1 star**Not against Banfield Pet Hospital located on ************On 27 Jul 2025 at approx 0945, we took our dog (Gonzo) to the Banfield Pet Hospital located at ****************************************************************** because he was periodically coughing and wheezing. I stayed in the vehicle with Gonzo while my wife went into the office to speak to the front desk personnel who went to speak to the *************************** Without even coming out to speak to my wife, Dr. ******* told the front desk personnel that she could not do anything for our dog (after refusing to even look at him) and referred us to an ****************************** We refuse to go to the ******************** due to a previous very expensive and useless experience with them concerning our cat. We pay approximately $500 a month to Banfield for veterinarian care for our animals and to be blatantly dismissed like this when the sign on their door says Sick and Injured animals will be seen first now indicates to me that our long history with, and large amount of money paid to, Banfield was a waste. We are now cancelling our care plans and will no longer to do business with a company that cannot be bothered to provide services when it is inconvenient to them.Banfield Pet Hospital

1 starGood evening,This is my second email regarding a complaint. The first was regarding lack of communication . Im following up now with lack of compassion for pet and owner. Im emailing for my mother who is a 83 year old elderly woman regarding her dog *****.The first visit was 6/6/2025 because ***** was having pain in her back left hind leg. The doctor examined her and did some bloodwork as well as X-rays. ********* found out about the bloodwork the next day. But that the X-rays werent available until the following Tuesday 6/10/2025. There was a follow-up appointment made for 6/20/******* the meantime my mom ********* was manipulated into signing up with a care package for $104.85 monthly, the plan was never fully explained to her on how it worked. As I mentioned shes 83 years ****** my mom called regarding the X-rays daily and was told the doctor would call her back but never did that happen. But ***** started getting worse, so an appointment was scheduled for 6/13/2025. My mom walked in with *****, the doctor walked in, didnt even examine her dog, promptly escorted them out and said I told you to go to the Banfield office across town for a second opinion. My mom asked about the X-rays, the doctor claimed she couldnt understand them and she sent them to the other ************************* mom felt she had no choice but to go there. The appointment was on 6/26/2025. The doctor explained she had a broken knee cap which would be $4,000.00 or more and it wouldnt be covered by the insurance she was talked into signing up for.Needless to say this is the worst veterinarian service by both doctors Ive ever seen. Also to this day we still dont have the X-rays, she was charged but service not rendered.I am requesting that you cancel the care plan. I called another veterinarian that is highly recommended by our animal rescue team. The veterinarian was very helpful, honest and compassionate.Sincerely *****Banfield Pet Hospital

1 starThe customer service gets zero stars if you ask me. I called to cancel my plan because they did absolutely NOTHING for my dog. The rep ****** was very rude and not willing to help. I asked her numerous times on clarity for what I was reading in their ****************** and she refused to even give me and yes or no. She NEEDS to be fired. As a first time customer, I was treated very disgustingly and will NEVER recommend this hospital or customer service to anyone.Banfield Pet Hospital

1 starThey mailed out a coupon for a free pet exam.I made an appointment in advance with my cat. I showed up on time, and they did not honor the coupon.They told me I MUST pay for a tetanus shot first, which I did not want.The staff was uncaring about my cat.I would never take my cats there for any reason.All they care about is selling their care ***********, money, money, who cares about your pet.Banfield Pet Hospital

1 starI called to make an appointment and the receptionist told me I didn't need to bring anything with me since my dog was chipped (1st time I've had a chipped dog) and all his info was on the chip. I get there, they take my dog back in the back and throw him in a cage and the lady comes back out and told me that anyone with a brain knows the chip isn't for records and id have to pay to get all his shots again (they'd just been done 3 mths earlier by a different vet). After I explained that and what I'd been told on the phone, she said she didn't care and called me a liar, no one there would have said that and I could come back 6 hrs later to get my dog (I was there for my appointment and had made it very clear I had questions for the vet) she told me no, that's not how this works so I asked for my dog back so we could leave. She then told me no! I could not have my dog back till the vet sees him. I argued for about 5 minutes before I threatened to call the police. I never raised my voice or cursed them. She finally brought me my dog and told me to go * myself and get the * out of her store. This was in the pet smart on ***** hwy in ********* *******.Banfield Pet Hospital
