Frendly in the begining, but SAVE AND SPEND IT AT A REPUTABLE REPAIR SHOP. Brought truck in for cab off head gasket job. 1+month later I called and a lady told me it was done. I drove 80 plus miles to get it only to find it was a mistake. The truck was still in a repair bay, cab in the air, pieces from engine in truck bed, not done. l called and several days later and was told the engine blew a glow plug. Several weeks later they delivered vehicle. 20 miles later the engine failed, puking smoke or coolant and very bad ruff idle. Called and was told it could be driven from point of breakdown to home. I said no. GM of shop sent a tech up to my location, tested engine and called his boss, the GM then had it towed back to shop. Several days later I called and was told the engine blew the rings off the piston. This now required a replacement short block. 8k later... Cab off engine swap... 1st replaced motor had 3 dead cylinders. Apparently was found after doing head gasket and putting all together. It was voiced to me that "next time I'll crank motor to verify prior to installing No other info was voluntered other than a 2nd motor with 65,000 miles would be it's replacement. I have no documentation of where the motor originated proving what was stated. I was told the motor would be in the next am asap. One week later was told engine just arrived. I questioned him about it just arriving and he got very condensating raising his voice. I thanked him for trying to get it done. Cab off motor swap #2 Several days later I had to call for update. I was told over the phone it was done and they were running it through it's paces prior to me picking it up. I drove by the office and to my suprise, the truck was in the stall with cab in air and a tech putting it together. The GM came out from office straight to me and I followed him back into office. He stated with harsh tone and raised voice about how he has 5 cab off engine repair jubs backed up, how hard it is to get diesel tech due to goverment covid handout and them making more staying home. Not my problem. I let him ramble and I asked when it would be complete. He told me he would contact me. I left. Several days later I had to call was told it was done. I stopped by to pick up truck and he was abrasive, handing me my keys. I asked for the 12 month warranty promised and he printed it out. It does not specify what the 12 months covers. I took papers and walked to my truck. I opened drivers and was shocked to find my new weather tech floormats and seat cover were absolutly filthy with shop grease/oil/solvents/etc. from not protecting interior when testing or starting. I started truck up and immediatly noticed that the oil life was not reset, fuel filter still states 78% life, clock in rear view mirror was not set, and then up pops on the display " service air bag". I went back in and brought it to the GM's attention and he yelled out for some tech to reset the oil life. I then told him about air bag issue and he raised his voice to me stating it was an issue when it was brought in. He annotated it on the records. I then showed him the floor mat being black with shop oils and he the cursed, raising his voice telling me to get myself and "f" word truck off his "f" word property. Apon retreating towards my truck, I stated to him that I was going to call the owner (DBA), as I drove away. I got home and checked fluids and noticed the serpateen belt is from one of the many parts my engine was put together with, over 14,000 k for repairs and major engine work released to me with a belt god knows how many miles on it. Did they reuse the engine oil filter, diesel fuel filter, etc. Have to take to shop to find out what this repair shop gave back to me... Pass this shop by and find a more reputable shop. I now have the expense of airbag issue, time and effort trying to contact owner as the GM would not give it to me in person or by text... Airbag light is still on, and I texted the GM's phone asking for contact info for his boss. I wanted to give the actual owner a chance to hear my concerns, and give him a chance to respond as the owner. I learned via facebook the GM has been there approx. one year. Still no reply for owners contact info... That is just the highlights of my over 3 1/2 months of auto repair nightmare. That said, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS REPAIR SHOP TO MY WORST ENEMY, MOST WOULD PROBABLY DIE BEFORE THEY GOT THE REPAIR JOB DISCUSSED AND AGREED TO COMPLETED, IF AT ALL.
