For the past two months my boyfriend and I have been charged for renters insurance even though we have both been covered as our insurance automatically renews each year. I asked for a refund via phone call and was denied. I was told that my renters insurance had the incorrect address for the leasing office after the fact that they had charged us for their own renters insurance. I told them that we were not notified of this change and they said they sent out one email in the summer of 2024. I was not able to find that email and I find it interesting how I get 10 emails about a leprechaun game or some event they plan on having yet just one measly email about a renters insurance change. I think its mighty convenient for them to make extra money since their staff takes quite a few days to respond to anything if they even answer my calls. Its incredibly frustrating since we were FULLY covered with our own insurance. I want a refund for the 200$ to be put on our account as we were fully covered and there was no need for them to buy us extra insurance. They should have at least notified us in a timely manner if our insurance didnt meet the requirements.

During my time at Sawyer Trail Apartments I have experienced a number of issues, mainly regarding communication and charges. In the first instance, I noticed our bills were higher than normal so I called the leasing office and spoke to ******. I asked if she had any suggestions to lower our bills, and she explained to me that we were being charged fees for paying through the property and not the utility companies directly (fees were not visible/itemized in the portal). I was told in order to receive a refund for said fees we would need to:Create an account with ******************************* (***)Back date our bills with each business to fee start date & Submit payment, and send receipt(s) to Sawyer Trails I created an account with ***, and was charged $380.76 (7/16-12/12.) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do the same with conservice as there was an account owner issue. I submitted the *** payment confirmation/bill to the office but was sent on a wild goose chase. I was told to contact conservice, provide more documentation, etc. I asked ************************** (leasing manager), and ****** for assistance with the refund but was refused. Now I have paid for my electric to Sawer trails and *** (=double payment). They also charged us for electric between 1/28-2/12 for $151.21. Usually we pay directly through *** but there was a billing mistake and were told we would be charged for above dates on next billing cycle. I made the leasing office aware of this but my bank accidentally auto-paid two months rents inherently paying those fees. I asked them for a refund but was met with more resistance and rudeness.I've had over half my security deposit taken for items not blantantly mentioned on the lease, been disrespected, and double paid for utilities. I feel scammed. I want proper follow up through Tarragon (not *******) and a refund.

We moved in late 2021, our average utility bill leading to April 2022 was 65-75.00, as of recently our bill has doubled. Increasing steadily by ***** every month for no reason, I have a job where I shower at work and my wife regularly showers 5-6min every other day. We were even gone for the month of December and now our bill has reached ****** projected to be 150 for next month. I spoke to the complex and they said I need to figure it out on my own, even though they have a third party provider. After calling on 27JAN2023 a spokesperson for ********** said they there is more than likely a leak. I tried to inform SawyerTrail and they intentionally sent me to voicemail and said they cant check my building. It wasnt until I used my wifes phone under a did phone number did they pick up and still say they wont look because they cant prove theres a leak. They then told me they price the utilities of the complex and charge individuals by dividing the total, but my building was vacant so I got hit with a bigger bill? That cant be accurate.Additionally after filling the work order to inspect a possible leak, they filed it as complete and ignored the request without any notification.
