Om March 11 2022 I took my 12yo daughter in for a food allergy test. When we got there, the doctor who we saw told me my daughter's insurance didn't cover the food allergy test and I would have to pay out of pocket. So I did. My daughter was and is having severe health problems that I suspect MAY be food related due to the onset of symptoms so I took her there to be tested. She did a finger ***** test on my daughter which was painful for her and hard for me to watch. The doctor stated the results would be in a couple weeks. After talking about the appt to a few people with my daughter's insurance they told me insurance covers the test. So I called her insurance on March 14 2022 and they told me it should have been covered and we needed the cpt code. Insurance called Cascade Health Clinic to get the code and the lady that answered stated the doctor was on vacation until March 29th 2022 and she would call me when she was back in office and had the results. That information was not relayed to me as I might gone to different doctor because I need answers for my daughter. We thought that was weird. So I called the doctors office on March 29th and the lady who answered said the doctor was with someone and would call when the results were in. In the meantime I called my daughter's insurance to follow up a and insurance called with me on 3way and the office was being real evasive about wanted to provide the codes. Eventually, gave insurance the cpt codes and insurance confirmed the codes given were covered services and asked how I could be reimbursed for the service since insurance should've covered it they charged me out of pocket. They were very hesitant about it and insurance told me file a claim for reimbursement. I'm currently waiting to hear back on the claim and also have yet to receive my daughter's results from her allergy test. Today is Aptil 7th 2022 and it's been almost 1 month since her appointment and we have heard nothing. We'd like her results.
