This company came to my home address to recover our truck for repossession by the bank. We have an ignition interlock that is installed on the vehicle. We told the two drivers it was on there and that they would need to be in the vehicle and blow into the device when it was required and they agreed, however they tampered with the device and did not run the vehicle properly and cause a violation on it as well as causing it to malfunction. This occurred 3-5-2025 around 630 to 730pm they initially tried to drag the truck without moving wheels and almost broke the axel on the rear of the truck before I stood in front of their vehicle to get them to stop. State patrol was notified and I have a case # from them as well 25D00927. This violation has caused the device to lock out on 3-10-2025 if it is not brought to lifesaver to be fixed and that costs money we don't have and this business is responsible for this issue and our bank even said that and has it noted in our account, We went and got the vehicle back on 3-6-2025 at 430pm after settling with the bank. We asked them why they did what they did and they laughed at us and told us to file a complaint with our bank who hired them. If this company doesn't fix what they broke we won't be able to drive the truck after the lockout date. This could potentially cause work interruptions and loss of pay or jail time if the courts so chose.Business Response

I spoke with the agent and he stated that they did unplug the unit in order to complete the repossession process
The office manager is the one that helped them when they came and redeemed. He never laughed at this customer, and he did help him wire the blow and go back the right way so he could drive his truck back to ********* on 3-6-25
Please let me know if you need anything else
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
The business illegally tampered with the wires to the ignition interlock system when they towed the vehicle from the residence on 3/5/2025 after they were given keys and told how to operate the system, in doing this they caused a violation on the device and the need for it to be repaired with lifesaver costing 150 to lifesaver, 21.68 to the shop performing the repair along with time away from work totalling ****** and gas to travel 150 miles round trip at 80 dollars. because we couldn't get it repaired locally on such short notice and it would have locked out before we could get in locally. Therfore this business is responsible for the total loss of money spent due to their negligence and will be taken to civil court as suggested by state patrol the case # previously attached. As well as emotional damages totalling 1000 for the stress caused because I could have gone to jail over a violation caused by this businesses employees.
Sincerely,

I have not filed this in civil court yet I am waiting to see if the business will cooperate this way with bbb first, however if it doesn't get resolved through bbb yes I will be filing this in court but have not done so yet.Business Response

The system was requiring agents while in route to blow into the device, this is not something that we will have our agents do. The device had to be deactivated in order to bring it to the lot.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:It doesn't matter if you have your agents blow or not, what you did was illegal and you can and will be held liable in court for this infraction if we can not resolve this with BBB. You will be held liable for all costs and lost wages associated with the infraction caused by your negligence in handling this matter. If we do not get this resolved in the next two weeks my lawyer who I have now contacted will file the civil suite promptly. Your business should have protocols for these situations that do not involve monetary hardships this is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The state patrol has been given copies of our communications with the BBB and have you and your employees admitting to this infraction, if we go to court state patrol had agreed to testify in court on this matter. You tampered with a law enforcement device, instead of towing it or driving it you could uave gotten a flatbed and towed it properly as a upstanding business would have done in the first place. You are at fault and will pay the penalty for this one way or another. It will cost you 10x more if we go to court because you will be paying for all court fees on top of the lost wages, and infraction cost.
Sincerely,

Numerica ************ wrongfully reposessed my vehicle in May 2024. After going rounds with ******** they returned my car back to me as it never should have been taken in the first place. I was told that my belongings were safe in *******, **. When I received my car back, ALL OF MY BELONGINGS WERE GONE. The auction people in ******* told me that Western International Recovery Bureau took my belongings before they received my car. I called the WIRB and set up a day and time to get my things. I LIVE 2 HOURS AWAY. Nobody was there like I was told and later found out the person "stepped out for a few moments." I was informed to call the day before I came so they would have things ready. This business is not open on the weekend and closed after 4 PM. I WORK MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 7:30-4Pm. I called and let them know I was coming to get my things on 7/18 to find out they THREW MY STUFF OUT per a policy I was NEVER informed of. They never told me I had 60 days. I never received paperwork that I had 60 days. Now I am out over $2000.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Numerica did not give me any information as they wrongfully repossessed my vehicle. In fact, they delivered my car back and promised my possessions were safe before it was delivered. I was never advised that I had 60 days. I would like that in writing that I was or a recording that stated that otherwise that is a lie and I will be filing a police report.

I am rejecting this response because: I was never told I had 60 days. I was only told I that I needed to make arrangements and when I did nobody was there and was called later to be told the individual "stepped out of the office". When I called later I was told to call the day before I was planning on coming in to grab my stuff - there was no mention of 60 days. This is a lie. I was not told I had a limited amount of time or receive anything. My property was wrongfully distributed amongst staff and the rest thrown away. I will be pressing charges.

1. Date of towing 6/24/2023 2. Date of the car retrieval 7/7/2023 3. Towing company Western International Recovery Bureau in ** 4 ************* Kinecta ******************** 5. What happened. When my was improperly towed, it was towed on two front wheel. It is stated in publicly available ****** manual for ****** Rav4 4WD Limited website that it shouldn't be towed on rear tires. Upon picking up, I heard a weird noise from my engine. I made an appointment at ****************** for service a couple of days later. They filmed a video stating that towing have caused damage to differencials and transfer case. They have informed me that they have seen a similar case to 4WD ****** vehicles when it's improperly towed. I paid $400 to retrive my car.6. Next. I have contacted the towing company providing information with the picture when it was being improperly towed, repair estimate, transcript file of inspection, picture and ****** Rav4 manual website address.7. Response. Towing company representative ************************* has responded me twice. Once to provide him with evidence, so I did. Second to let me know that the picture was during the agent was loading the car onto pickup truck. And also I shouldn't have brought this issue after 3 days.8. My point of view. I strongly believe towing company is liable for the repair fee, lyft fee and $400 retrival fee. I have enough evidences for improper towing from photo and ********'s video while inspecting my car and lyft cost while my car was not drivable. I would like to settle it as soon as possible because I have two children and we need this car to be drivable.Business Response

DRIVER statement
I showed up at the location. It was a town home complex with a one car garage. The vehicle was in the driveway nosed in towards the residence. I backed up and lifted the rear wheels with my stinger and then the customer came out. I let her clean out her stuff and she gave me a key. I wanted to get out of her driveway so I put it in neutral and wheeled it from the rear wheels out to the street. I flipped the vehicle around and grabbed it from the front and threw dollies on the rear wheels and took it to the yard.
Customer called and made an appointment to redeem. She came in on 7/7. She was provided the redemption paperwork to look over and sign. She inspected the vehicle, raised no concerns at all, signed the paperwork, and left the facility. I did not hear from her again until end of the day on 7/10. She said the car was making a noise. I asked where she thought the noise was coming from and when did the noise start. She said she just noticed it today (that was 7/10). Customer sent me a video of an inspection she had done at a local dealership some time later, maybe a week or two. The technician notes quite a bit of things wrong with this vehicle, including the dip stick being bone dry. There appears to be a lack of maintenance. We gave ample opportunity for this customer to raise any concerns. We were open for a few hours after she left our facility she could have called or returned if there was an issue at that time.We also have 2 videos from the dealership that we can provide as well from the tech noting the things wrong with the vehicle.

Western International Recovery are a bunch of thieves and untrustworthy liars. They towed my car then called me to pick up my belongings that I had in my car. I arrived at the business and my car was safely secured in there garage, but when I was told I had to sign this property form before I could even get my belongings so I did when this employee came back from. Where my belongings were stored and he came out with this half empty garbage bag and handed it to me I ask him where is the rest of my stuff he said that all that was in the car I searched and cleaned it myself. I could not believe what this unhonest thieving employer said I was Furious and cussing this no good thief out. He said talk to the owner and slammed the door in my face. I knock on it again about 3 to 5 times then he finally open the door I said what is your supervisor's he gave it to me then slammed the door again. I dialed the number and got ahold of ***** the owner I explained that I am missing a large amount of my belongings that was I my car. He said what am I missing. I told him I'm missing my suitcase with 4 pairs of Retro ********, designer jeans, shorts, jackets, and belts. My tools Dewalt and Milwaukee impact drills, *******, and misc. Tools. I'm telling you as God as my witness my car trunk was packed with my belongings and what I got was a car battery , paperwork, a socket set, and some junk like car freshener, loose change, and pens. After I tell ***** all the things I'm missing he said how do I know his employer stole my stuff I said are you serious and told him your employer said he was the only one who searched and clean my car that in a garage. He said well I don't think he stolen your belongings and he would have to look at the cameras and call me back I said ok. After 3 days with no call back. I call him and said why haven't you called and he said I been busy and he checked the cameras and found nothing. Very dishonest, thieving, unprofessional Company and employers. I am rejecting this response because: God don't like ugly. Thou shall not lie. Thou shall not steal. This is what kind of man/person do you call yourself cause it isn't an honest, truthful, or Real. Your fake, a scammer, a liar, and unprofessional.i did file a complaint as soon as you robbed me for my belongings. But it was under the tow truck company Payless towing & recovery exactly next door to your thieving office the tow truck company owner called and said that I got the wrong company and gave me your company's name and said that he has called numerous angry customers to tell them they have the wrong company. Cause your foul, a theif, and a liar. How are you going to say I never called you when I spoke to you and you told me that you had to check the camera's to see if your tow truck driver stole my belongings and told me you call me back but you never did so I called you and asked you did you check the cameras and you said yeah that you couldn't see nothing. I got your number right here you don't think I calling you about my property that was missing your smoked out or just ignorant to lie and said I never called you and complained about my missing property. The only reason why I even signed that paper is cause your tow truck driver said I had to sign the paper before I could even see my property you do that to all your clients/customers so you can get away with stealing from people. I can't even believe your response that you could lie and said that I never even spoke to you. I spoke to you 3 times about this issue and basically didn't even care or make an effort to make things right instead you didn't even call me back I had to call you 3 days later. I even called the ***************************** and an officer called me back and told me I would have to take you to civil court cause it's a civil matter. And everything I'm saying in this response is 100% real I put that on my right hand to GOD and as GOD as my witness I am telling the truth.Better Business Bureau in reference to this I filed a complaint with you guys with the tow truck company's named Payless towing & recovery. BECAUSE they didn't have a company sign anywhere around there office nor does it say there company's name when you ****** the address it comes up PAYLESS TOWING. THANK YOU.
Sincerely,
