My SUV had been broken down when I was homeless, in a park parking lot. I had another car that I was using to go get tools and to pick something up with that car stalled out. I talked to a few park employees and let them know that I needed to work on it and I was trying to get out of there. My other car Stranded me as well leaving my SUV defenseless except for a note in the dash stating i was returning, with my name and number in case it was an emergency to move. I returned to a toad but it was the weekend and no one was available at the time I found out. So I waited until a weekday called all of the local towing companies, none of them had it. Gerber stated that they didnt have it or anything similar in their lot at the moment so I reported it stolen and sat on it for two weeks. I was passing gerbers lot one day to grab some thing from the local store and there it was sitting in front of her office, where did they tow it from? Where it was at the park. Two weeks pass I didnt receive a certified letter at the registered address, they told me they didnt have it when they did clearly in front of their office gave them the license plate and everything. When I confronted them about it they thought I was relieved that for some reason they had it and were super happy to charge me $1500 to get it out. I didnt have $20 to my name. The employee At least let me grab my tools and belongings from it and the roof carrier and my battery that I just bought, the starter that I just bought was still in it for a measly $260. pft Not to mention all of the suspension work that I had done brand-new brakes new exhaust. I was living in it at the time, they didnt think I had any reason to be upset. Theres still no evidence that they reported it to anyone, ********** came after I said gerber failed to report it, They said is there any damage, no, have a nice day ******** was auctioned off two weeks later
