  Complaint: Misleading Business ******************* for Unqualified Leads I am writing to express my serious concerns about the business practices of A Place for Mom. This company markets itself as a reliable source for senior care leads, but in my experience, it has been nothing short of a scam.They promised to provide real, quality leads to help grow my business. However, the leads I received were clearly being distributed to multiple other providerssometimes up to 20 othersmaking it impossible to connect with any potential clients. Not one of the leads I was charged for ever responded to my outreach attempts via phone or ******** make matters worse, they charged me $58.00 for each of these so-called leads, even when it was obvious they were either fake or had no interest in services. When I raised concerns about the poor quality and lack of response, I received no resolution or refund.This company takes your money without delivering on its promises, and they offer no accountability. I strongly advise others in the senior care industry to stay away from A Place for Mom. Their practices are misleading, unethical, and a complete waste of time and money.

  They really don't even deserve 1 star. This was not a good experience. I was looking into places for my dad and it was almost impossible to get any useful information. Ended up having to delay looking and then the pestering phone calls started. Unexpectedly, my father passed away before we could find somewhere and even after I told them he was gone and to stop calling - I STILL got phone calls. After this last call - I got an email saying they can't stop calling until I answered one more question. Horrendous and truly an awful experience. Would never recommend to anyone.

  I'm shocked that this company has an A Rating from BBB! Shame on BBB..."A Place for Mom" (APFM) clearly have multiple incredibly negative 1-Star reviews and comments on the BBB website, which show an ongoing pattern of DECEPTIVE MARKETING AND ************** experience: I was interested in learning more about a particular Senior Living facility In *******, and clicked on a phone number that appeared to be the number for that facility. After being welcomed and questioned for 10" by an agent of ****, I was told that **** has no connection to that facility. However, I was offered referrals to several other facilities, which I cut off with a statement that this was NOT why I called. **** them sent me emails, which I responded to as follows: "Please cancel anything about us that's opened in your system, and above all, DO NOT call, mail, or email me anything else. If you do, I'll have no choice other than report you to the BBB and write up our experience online." I did go back to the Internet, and was careful to go to the facility's website before calling.However, the damage was already done, as I have been receiving 4-5 phone calls from various Senior facilities over the past 4days! I have either not picked up or told them all that I (truly) have no time to talk, and that they can send me an email if they want. In a few instances, I shared my experiences with "APFM" and was told that my experience was not at all uncommon.If this is what BBB considers for an A Rating, what does it take to get a less positive rating?

  They lie, false information, false pretext, send information to others when I specifically asked them not to, they go under false name and websites.

  Their business practices are predatory. I was trying to gather information on rates for nearby places and they would not reveal any information without receiving my name, number, email . I told them no. They said they couldn't provide the information unless I gave them it. They insisted that they were going to send a document we needed to sign to be able to give us any information. I told there was no legal reason for them to need a signature for them to tell us rates . They continued demanding that we sign a document enabling them to "help" us. I told them no and do not contact me again. That took place over a week ago. Since then my phone has been ringing multiple times a day, often in successive order with calls from them at all times of the day and night. Multiple emails still demanding we sign a document. They prey on the vulnerable. Disgusting.

  Signed up with A place for Mom for home care referrals, but I encountered false advertising and irrelevant leads. The service promised targeted referrals for private pay clients, but most 99% of all leads were not aligned with my business as promised. The referral fees quickly added up with little return. False advertisement and promises. *********, **

  This website is a scam for data capture. I even filled out their form to have my information protected and not sold. Someone called my cell at 6:00am. I've blocked the number. DO NOT ENTER YOUR EMAIL OR CELL PHONE INFORMATION. You will regret it.

  Nice customer service people. Absolute waste of time for us. Provided only one option for our area. At $6000 a month.There are 50 or more senior options in *******, ** I asked to be taken off their contact list, but still get calls, texts and emails regularly.

  I reached out to A Place for Mom over 3 years ago, and they have not stopped harassing me with texts, emails and phone calls. They were told at our last contact to reach out to my father, not me. I do not know if they did that, because he has since been deceased.Every time I inform him that he has passed, and a couple months later they contact me again, and send numerous ************** apologizing for their (repeated) error.This place only deals with very high cost assisted living, and would not help my father as he did not quite meet that criteria.This company doesnt care about you, only about their bottom line.
