I was an employee with THE SEATTLE BARKERY 2 years ago. I had a falling out with the owners and do not work there anymore. Since it is a shop in my neighborhood I walk my dog by the store many times a week. In the two years since my employment, the employees and owners have gone out of their way to make hostile encounters whenever I am near the store. As the store specializes in dog treats, I sometimes get treats for my pet. Today, November 7th, 2023, I ****** entered the store and purchased around 25$ worth of treats for my dog's birthday. The employee was openly and brazenly rude to me. The interaction was so awful that after a few steps i turned around and re-entered the business and asked the employee what her problem was and why she was so rude to me. The employee said "You are not welcome here *****. We do not want your patronage Caleb." *** continued to say that the employees and management had been talking about me behind my back. "Whenever you pass by you never speak to someone you know here, only the employees that don't know you". This shows that the management and employees speak about me behind my back 2 years after being fired from the establishment. My partner who also frequented the Seattle Barkery has received similar treatment. Incredibly rude staff and hateful management that continues to hold a grudge against a former employee from 2 years ago. Today's hateful outburst showed that management still thinks negatively of me and speaks negatively about me to old hires and new hires alike. Having this kind of hateful energy emminating from a local business blocks away from my front door is incredibly hurtful. Knowing that I cannot walk my neighborhood without the hateful eyes of former managers stalking and watching and gossiping about my every move. This incredibly unprofessional behavior is a direct affront to the **************** Industry and goes against all training and education on how to be a better business.
