      I was recently charged $149.99 for a membership renewal after a trial expired. It is tied to my Amazon account and there was no clear instructions to cancel the trial and not be charged. I never had this card on file with IMDBPro and did authorized this card to be used for this. I need this transaction refunded and my membership cancelled. The charge was done on April 28th for the amount of $149.99.Additionally, I feel certain that I also never entered knowingly into a promo trial of an IMDB product with any fee ever associated at all. I don't even use IMDB search results and I am circumspect about not clicking on junk offers.

      I am an actor and IMDb has a public profile for me on which they post my film credits, which is fine. However, a few years ago, they began posting a date of birth for me, which not only negatively impacts my professional opportunities but is in direct contradiction to their agreement with the actor union, SAG-AFTRA (see, e.g., ***************************************************************************************************************). I contacted IMDb directly and they told me I would have to sign up for IMDbPro, which is expensive, in order to remove the birth dates they keep publishing but that I could sign up for the free trail membership, remove my birth date and then cancel the IMDBPro membership to avoid the hefty fees. I did so and, immediately upon cancelling the IMDBPro, they removed my headshot and ADDED THE ***** DATE BACK ON. This is a pay-to-play and not ok. It is also misleading and deceptive and fraudulent for them to put up personal data and charge for its removal, even after telling actors they can remove it for free and agreeing with the union to allow the removal of personal info.

      In addition, please know IMDbPro is an ************** and all payments for IMDbPro are now securely processed via Amazon wallet. If we are unable to complete your order with the payment method associated with your subscription, you authorize us to update your subscription with another payment method you have on file in order to avoid an interruption in your membership benefits.

      Ive reviewed our records and noticed that you previously received a 30-day free trial, that was started on April 21, 2019, with this email address.       after checking the box to NOT DISPLAY my birthday information, IMDB and IMDB PRO continued to list it. Prior to starting this compliant I had to go back and re check it.This is highly sensitive information and I did not give them permission.I have paid them monthly now and they need to repair the damage done. at least this goes into public knowledge if in case they do this to others so please refund me the months you displayed my private personal information.       On January 23rd, I signed up for a free 1 month trial being offered by IMDbPro. I admit that I had forgotten about signing up for this trial until the first attempt on my card was made. However, as soon as I seen that an attempt on my card was made I went to the IMDb pro website and canceled my subscription, which should have been the end of it, right? Well apparently not, because despite cancelling my subscription on February 23rd, and circling back to my IMDb account to make sure that I had infact cancelled my subscription ( The website states that I have in fact deactivated my subscription plan ) IMDb is still trying to charge my card $149.99. I would obviously like for them to stop doing this, because if they're doing it to me then how many other people are they also doing this to? I learned a long time ago to never leave my card turned on or keep money in my checking ( some companies figure out how to bypass a frozen card by using your routing and account number to steal your money.

      I have been a longstanding member of IMDb since *************************************************************************************** to seek your intervention. Several months ago, I terminated an actress from our company. Subsequently, she initiated a campaign to potential sabotage of our film. IMDb staff member contacted me, threatening the removal of my projects unless certain documents were provided. In compliance with this request, I promptly submitted all necessary documentation. Regrettably, during a recent meeting with ************, it came to my attention that the summaries and posters for the following films have been inexplicably removed from IMDb:American Boule ********************************************************* Demons ********************************************************: The Jezebel Experience ********************************************************** 11 *************************************************** These projects, either in the process of filming or already completed. Their sudden absence from IMDb has caused considerable embarrassment and humiliation. Given the circumstances, I harbor suspicions of a potential relationship between the aforementioned terminated employee and the IMDb staff member involved in the project removals. I am compelled to emphasize that this situation reeks of bias and premeditated actions instances of bullying and abuse of authority are promptly rectified. The pandemic and the strikes hindered everyone and it should be understood that these projects were delayed.

      I am rejecting this response because I have diligently submitted all the requested documents, which were confirmed as satisfactory by the representative. Additionally, I have provided emails to the attorney as evidence, demonstrating that the actions taken against me are a result of targeting by a specific staff member. The criteria for verification seemed to shift after I complied with the initial requests. Had IMDB conducted a thorough investigation instead of opting for a swift response, they would have discovered that all necessary documents were submitted to validate the films. I invested over a month's time and resources, paying an intern to update the project profiles. Unfortunately, the profiles, artwork, posters, and data have now disappeared. I am not willing to endure this situation for a third time. I am fully prepared to escalate this matter, having filed complaints with the State Attorney General and Consumer Affairs. Furthermore, I have legal representation and media contacts on standby in the event that IMDB responds with a generic, non-apologetic reply, devoid of restoration and an investigation into the staff member's actions. If a resolution cannot be reached, I will instruct my attorney to pursue monetary damages through legal proceedings, citing collusion, prejudice, and religious bias as grounds for the legal action. All I have requested was an apology, restoration of the projects and the data that was approved with it. This is more than fair and as modest a request available under the circumstances. The BBB complaint is a goodwill gesture for respectful resolve at the lowest level, before escalating a matter that can only increase from arrogance. I hope that is not the case.

      I am writing to express my rejection of the response received, citing several concerns that necessitate further investigation and resolution. The instances of targeting by certain staff members persist even after our recent communication. I possess documented evidence, complete with timestamps and dates, confirming the timely submission of all required documents to a representative identified as "*****." Upon resubmitting certain projects, subsequent approval was granted. However, upon reviewing the platform, I discovered that the films "Yahushua," "Hebrews 11," "American Boule," and "Duped: The Jezebel Experience," along with their ****************** and artwork, were removed from IMDB. Notably, these projects bear "religious and ethnic themes," indicating a potential bias rooted in religious and racial factors. Regrettably, this ongoing situation has compelled me to seek legal counsel, resulting in the escalation of the case to government complaints. The actions taken by IMDB, specifically the removal of content, are perceived as biased and racist, causing significant harm, not only in terms of lost artwork but also in the emotional distress experienced by the staff involved due to the persistent distraction and bullying tactics employed by IMDB. I wish to inform you that legal action is now underway, and we intend to pursue damages and violations against Amazon, *******************, IMDB, and all parties implicated in this matter. The alleged acts are characterized as racist and discriminatory, particularly against religion and African Americans.
      We anticipate your prompt attention to this matter and a comprehensive resolution to address the documented issues and alleviate the adverse impact on our projects and team.

      I signed up for IMDbPro. It had two options pay one time $20 or pay month-to-month for 12.95$ I did not read carefully so it is my fault that it charged me $150. so I thought it was only going to charge $12 and charged $150. I cannot afford that Im hoping that they can refund my money completely since it hasnt even been 24 hours. There is a phone number but when you call it it says there is no way to talk to them live you have to go through email so Ive been emailing and no response on top of all this I dont even have the service so I pay for something Im not even getting every time I try to access the page. It says I need to buy it and I already did buy it. I have a statement from my bank saying I am BD pro $150. I also have the email saying welcome and thank you for signing up for IMB pro but it will not let me on the site They are not responding back. It has not been 24 hours yet. I will give them that I do not like how you cant talk to someone on the phone and you have to wait for an email hours later. I want my money back and if they wont give me my money back, then I want to be able to at least access what I paid for.

      On February 6, ****, an employee of either Amazon or imdb.com charged a membership to imdb.com in the amount of $149.99 to my Sofi debit card, on file with my Amazon account.This has happened two additional times before. Causing me to dispute the charge, cancel the card, wait for a new card, contact vendors and creditors who used that card and other annoying things. All things that caused an annoyance to me. No financial gain was made by the person who did this. The membership was filed on imdb.com with my email. I had to go to imdb.com and cancel it.This last incident was charged on my Sofi card, no more than 4 days after linking it with my Amazon account. I was thinking I was safe, because I wasn't using the other two cards from the banks that had been used in the past. I contacted Amazon about the charge, because the "purchase" eventually showed up thru my Amazon digital purchases. Amazon owns imdb.com. They told me nothing but that I had to dispute the charge with my bank.The phone number on the transaction is imdb.com's number ************ which is their "hotline" but you can't leave a message. I also have a terminal number. I believe it's someone that knows me. Either way it's fraud and they need to stop it. I've canceled my Amazon Prime account after almost 20 years of being a member, which really irritates me. My cards should be safe, and not be available to some crazy person to reek havoc on my finances with out of spite.
