    On October 17, 2022, Better Business Bureau recognized a pattern of consumer complaints against Seattle Movers WA regarding advertising issues, contract issues, as well as repair and service issues. 

    Consumers allege Seattle Movers WA presents itself as a licensed and insured mover, though the USDOT and the WA UTC numbers provided on their advertising are that of an unrelated moving company. Consumers also claim that the cost of the agreed upon bid is changed due to unreliable quotes, and are adjusted before the move is complete.

    According to consumers, damage and loss of items occurs as a result of improper packaging and handling of their belongings.  Additionally, consumers claim the equipment needed to safely transport the goods is inadequate, requiring the number of trips to increase and extending the given length of the move.

They took the money, saying that they will have to do a second trip since stuff won't fit in the truck. Now they never came back despite repeated messages, emails and calls there is no resolution or response.

      Date of service/transaction: June 30th, 2022 Amount paid $1350 The business was hired to move all of our belongings from ********** ** to ******* **.Nature of the dispute:1) The business originally quoted ** $945-$1100. They picked up our belongings around 1:30pm and then called us at 4:34pm to tell us that they made a mistake and were going to charge us an extra $200. They told us they would not unload our stuff until the $1350 was paid.2) Upon delivery, our couch and dresser were damaged. The driver and other delivery guy ensured us that the company has insurance and would cover the cost of repair. We have made several attempts to contact them via email and phone and have not gotten any response.3) Due to poor communication, they did not bring a truck large enough to load all of our things so they left some of our stuff behind. They were supposed to contact us several days before to move to make sure they brought a big enough truck, but they never did.

      Hello, I contacted Seattle Movers WA via phone call *************) on 6/22/22 - answered by ******* who said he was the manager. He provided a quote after I provided all the details via text message. Despite me messaging him the details and stating they send a really big moving vehicle (semi?), he significantly underestimated the size of the move, and send 3 men and 2 trucks on 7/1/22. The move was scheduled for 11 am, and their ******* (******) did not even arrive at the site to start the move until ****pm. The two trucks they brought were not large enough for the move and they had to do an extra run. There are multiple large pieces of furniture left in my old residence despite an extra run. All my expensive leather furniture is now scraped up due to poor wrapping and incompetent staff. Finally around midnight (7/1/22), they off loaded all the stuff into my new garage, disturbing all my neighbors. They insisted on taking the full payment before unloading, and told they would be back at 3pm today (7/2/22) to complete the stageing. I paid in full as I was left with no other option at midnight. They have not returned for staging, and none of the movers or the managers (******* or *******) answer their calls or messages either. Now we need to hire new movers to move the rest of the furniture from the old residence, and we are perpetually waiting for their movers to return and stage the furniture while we sleep on the floor 2nd night in a row!       I responded to an ad for movers to come they came but did not move anything they claimed it was late and needed additional tools to move my furniture. When leaving they told me that my contract requires payment up front. I paid them $240. They were supposed to return the next day and have not. I called multiple numbers I had for them and what was on their website. I had to hire an additional company for more on Fathers Day to get my belongings out since they took my money and never showed or called. I had flooring people coming in on a schedule. I have a receipt and ads as well as the telephone numbers attached

      Hired them. Paid in advance then they stated it would be more or they wouldn't unload my furniture!Then they stole jewelry, expensive wine and other bottles of alcohol.NEVER USE THEM
