1 starjust have the most horrible experience with this stupid company they treat and makes me feel's like a criminal. I live in ***** and my business is in *****. I have been living in the * S for 45 yrs and I finally decided to go home to ******* because my mom is getting up there in age. I tried to transfer money from my account in the **. Ive never in my life committed any crime and I work my a** off to be in the position that I am. First I tried to transfer money with my **************** account but the bank send me a link to login to my account and authorize it believe me I tried my best to get it done on that site unsuccessfully Remitly cancel the transaction which to me is ok life happens. Then I said I will just do it with my BoA account what a mistake Remitly quickly cancel it, suspended my account that I cant even login anymore. I called them talks to the firsts rep that I told my story to for awhile then she transferred me to another person that you can tell someone else was in the background trying their best to make me feel like a criminal. What the fk. I end up getting fed up when they started asking personal questions my DOB which I dont believe I ever gave the but I gave them anyway now asking how old I am like if they are ******. 1 starThey suspended my account without any explanation after I tried to send money to a friend abroad. When I applied for reactivation, they responded by saying my account was permanently deactivated and refused to explain why.Remitly

1 starI am filing this complaint to express my deep frustration and concern regarding a recent transaction that went terribly wrong due to what I believe is either gross negligence or outright fraud on the part of this company.According to their stated policy, a transfer should only be completed if the recipients account number, full name, and phone number all match. However, despite following all instructions carefully and verifying the recipients details, a large sum of my hard-earned money was deposited into an account that does not belong to the intended recipient. This is not a minor errorit is a serious breach of trust and security.If their system truly verifies recipient information as claimed, how could such a glaring mismatch occur? This raises serious questions about the integrity of their platform and whether they are truly safeguarding customer funds. It feels like I have been scammed, and I am now left with no clear path to recover my ******** make matters worse, the customer service experience has been appalling. I have reached out multiple times, only to receive vague, unhelpful, and often contradictory responses. There has been no accountability, no transparency, and certainly no resolution. I have been left in the dark, with no idea where my money went or how to get it back.This is not just a financial lossit is an emotional and mental burden. I worked hard for that money, and to see it vanish due to a companys failure is devastating. I am now considering legal action, as I believe this company must be held accountable for their actions and the distress they have caused.I strongly urge others to avoid using this service at all costs. Based on my experience, this platform is unreliable, unsafe, and potentially fraudulent. 1 starI got scam from *********** whom i send the money to thru Remitly and i tried to complained that , and they werent helpful and no guarantee that i can get the refund i was asking according to the agent i spoke too . Very disappointed i was actually sending money to my family thru them , Now i have to find better remittance company .Remitly

1 starSigned up, sent money to someone, and then the transaction was cancelled, and my account suspended permanently. This was their response:****** ****** (3/26/2025, 2:49:27 PM): We appreciate that you have chosen Remitly as your remittance company. Our customer Protection Team have to review all of our customers' accounts to ensure that you are sending money following our User Agreement policies. ****** ****** (3/26/2025, 2:52:01 PM): The system reviewed your information and noticed something that didnt appear to follow our policies and unfortunately for this reason it needed to suspend your account and decline your transfer. Im so sorry for the inconvenience. But you cannot use the service of Remitly. ******* (3/26/2025, 2:52:29 PM): That is the most perplexing response. ******* (3/26/2025, 2:52:44 PM): You can't tell me anything? ****** ****** (3/26/2025, 2:52:57 PM): As much as I would like to have the reason behind this decision, Remitly reserves the right to disclose this information. 1 starStrongly encourage everyone to avoid this company. I've been fighting with them for the better part of a week with zero resolution. Their only response seems to be the canned "we're committed to improving... please contact us" boilerplate that, in my opinion, serves only to prevent their BBB rating from tanking. I've tried that path and it always ends the same way. After 4 phone calls with them, they are clearly not committed to improving at all and their practices border on fraud and based on their claims are almost certainly not in compliance with the ****. The fact that they have an A+ rating is a blemish on BBB's reputation.Remitly

1 starDO NOT USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED!!!!! As you can all see by these reviews, this company has been scamming people left and right, quite heavily in last year. They will gaslight you into thinking that you have made a mistake on your end and that they are resolving your mistake, in reality, they took your money and did nto transfer it through to the proper reciever. They are taking money from your families that you take care of, from children to the elderly. Every time you complain to them they first say that they will be resolving the issue in 48 hours, then a week, then 3 days, then they will tell you that there is no issue to resolve. They have stolen $600 from me, and from many more people than I anticipated. Check their social media and you will find more negative experiences like this. They need to be held accountable. They are NOT committed to improving and DO NOT resolve any issues that you will encounter. Unsatisfactory is what you will get. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!Remitly

1 starDo Not Trust this company, it's service, or it's representatives. I attempted to transfer $150 to a trusted friend and entered all of my personal and banking information onto their website. Remitly denied my service request even though I read the terms of the agreement and was within them. I spent several hours trying to qet my transaction to go through and several phone calls. I was respectful to the customer service representative yet firm on why I needed this request to go through. I am a 63 year old man with excellent credit and the funds in my account for this transaction. They tried to tell me that I haven't proven a relationship with the recipient and I responded with more than enough information to show otherwise. Not only did they not honor my first and only transfer request, but they have suspended my account. I tried to log on today to remove my payment method and other personal information and I no longer have access to my account. Yet their customer service employees in multiple third countries do have access. I have since transferred the funds using another service and encountered no problems. All I want now is to cancel my account and remove all of my personal and financial information from their website so that I can preserve my 875 credit rating, yet I no longer have access to do this.Remitly
