I'm very disappointed with RealSelf, Inc as I wrote a lengthy review of my surgical experience with ****************** and it was never posted along with the other reviews in the main thread of reviews. I wondered if it was even posted at all and I was only able to find it by search around and clicking on the notification tab. It's on the website but not accessible to other viewers. The BBB needs to investigate this RealSelf, Inc website further. It seems to only post positive reviews on its main thread of reviews.

I'm trying to leave a review on Real Self. Trying to sign in but can't remember my password. When they send me the link to reset my password, the link won't give me the ability to reset the password without signing in first which requires the password which it won't give me the opportunity to reset. It doesnt matter how many good reviews a doctor has when one bad review can ruin everything. Elective surgery is a very serious decision and if its preformed carelessly can disable, disfigure you for life, or it can kill you. The people who designed this app and the doctors who use it know that. This app is definitely super useful if youre in the beginning stages of your planning, and want to read real experiences from real people that are positive. However DO NOT choose your surgeon from this app. I was researching surgeons in my area and I contact someone I found on RealSelf. I brought up a bad review that I had seen and the nurse brushed me off. Later THAT SAME DAY went to find the review again and it had been deleted. If youre considering plastic surgery make sure they are board-certified, and check reviews on Better Business Bureau, ********************* ***** ******, etc. DO NOT GO OFF OF THIS APP ALONE. Im really disappointed in the creators of this app, it would be a 10/10 app if I didnt know that they were deleting bad reviews.RealSelf, Inc Response

I have learned that RealSelf is just an advertisement for surgeons and not really a place for patients/clients to tell their story. You can't even find your surgeon unless they contact real self and get themselves listed as opposed to the client requesting that they be listed because of their work. We were very apprehensive to sign a 12 month contract with RealSelf so we were coaxed into signing a 6 month contract as a trial only to be COMPLETELY DUPED and auto renewed for another 6 months after we were so excitedly anticipating our contract to end. The account rep assigned to us had changed 3-4 times no one ever remotely mentioned the auto renew policy, every time we wanted to updated or change something on our ******** the interface was extremely buggy and navigation made little to no sense. Dealing with RealSelf has all in all been a nightmare, DO NOT advertise with this website. I've been trying to get in contact with someone either a rep, billing, customer services for weeks but I can't get a reply. My next step is to file a dispute with our CCC because at this point this should be considered egregious abuse of policy. We're still being charged $75/mo for Doctor ******** $50/mo for practice ******** and then the $20/inquiry which even seem fake like RealSelf is the one putting in fake inquiries because when my staff follows up with communication it seems to reach no one.Review from K. I'm beginning to wonder if this site is legit. I posted a question nearly 48 hours ago and received an auto reply stating questions that are approved will be posted within 24 hours. My question has not been posted nor have I been told if there was a reason it wasn't approved. I reached out to "Linsey" their Community Manager, sent a private message on their Facebook page, sent a general message on their website and even emailed their CEO Tom S**** and all have ignored me. Based on this experience I'm not sure I can have confidence on anything I read on their website.RealSelf, Inc Response
