    We secured the services of JMP Architects, specifically the main proprietor ***************************, to design for a significant remodel of our house in **********. I strongly suggest that anyone looking for architecture services steer away from using this company. During the permitting process, beginning in August, ***** repeatedly indicated that he was working with the ****************** and monitoring the status. We followed up with him numerous times, and all the while he indicated that we should just wait and that the town was "slow". In February, I finally got fed up, and went to the town to check the status of our permit application, only to find out that ***** did not pay a $ 50 application fee. This information was readily accessible, and it is clear that he just didn't follow up with the town, and was feeding us false information for 4 months.Now during construction, we have found out that in numerous cases his measurements were not correct. More significantly, he designed an "office" above the garage with a dormer and two windows, only to finally realize that the ceiling height is only 4 feet. We clearly indicated what the intended purpose of this space was, he designed the room, **** a stairway to this room (that has no landing), and has windows, but absolutely no useful purpose. Please do not use JMP Architects if you want your project to run smoothly!
