      I was sent a bill for services after I have fired ************* on 9/14/2022. I had not received a bill until 9/14/2022 but began doing business 8/8/2022. I had noticed the date on the bill was 9/5/2022, which puts me outside their 5 day window of contesting the charges. Then was told a refund check was mailed on 9/29/2022 for the remainder of my trust account which I never received. So I told them to write a new one and I'll pick it up at the office. Then I was given another bill 10/12/2022 via email, which has the date 10/5/2022 again putting me outside the 5 day window. I have not been able to pickup the check to see what the amount is, but it's unprofessional to issue a refund then send a bill for services. Why am I getting bills outside of the 5 day window to contest charges, that was the time frame I was told over the phone? On top of that the effectiveness of time management was poorly done. When I first paid I was told ************* was out of office and not able to talk to me and no paralegal was assigned to my case to assist me, I had to reach out to get them to send me documents to fill out. Most of my questions were left unanswered and on two occasions ************* had said to me "I'm not going to play 20 questions with you ********". I'm asking the business practices to be looked into as some of the charges are frivolous.

      The office set me up for a consultation and told me that it would cost $100 for an hour consultation but payment was due up front. I paid and set up my appt. I had a 20 min consultation than later received an email stating the 1st 30 min was free. I would like to be refunded since I should have never paid due my consultation not being an hour

Looks like the attorney you consulted with offered that first 30-min as a complimentary session to chat with you. That request for refund was submitted and sounds we were able to uncover the hold up.
