This company made me a new key for my car and the button to the key broke immediately. It would not start my car all the time and I was stranded three times. My car got stuck at my mom's on Tuesday night and the company wouldn't come out until Saturday to fix it because of the Jewish holiday. I had an appointment for them to come out at 10:30 am and they never showed and stopped answering my phone calls from my phone and then blocked my mom too. I had to get my car to the Toyota dealership and it cost me another &700 to get it rekeyed again. They still wont talk to me.Initial Complaint

When on the phone with a service agent I was quoted $64.99 for the cost of opening the door to my locked car. When the technician arrived I was quoted $250.00. He made it out that it was a mistake on the service end and that this was the actual price of the service. When asked for an invoice including a line by line breakdown of the cost I was refused to be shown one. We eventually agreed on a price of $120.00.
Furthermore, it is extremely difficult to get a hold of this company. It appears they also go by the name CT- Locksmith. The phone number to contact them changes so it is difficult to look them up and get further information. When I was able to get in touch with customer service they refused to give me details about cost or the name of my technician.
The aim of this company is to advertise you a low quoted price (64.99) and then arrive with a much higher price. Once you have met in the middle you are made to believe you got the best of the deal. They rely on the fact that customers are in desperate situations such as locked out of their car, home, etc. and are willing to pay more than expected to get the situation solved.
I spoke with Kenneth on the phone and he refused to give me information about the cost breakdown of my service, the name of my service technician, or the name of the business' owner.Initial Complaint

I hired Evergreen Locksmith to come out and rekey my house. They were the first business to come up on line when I googled locksmith ****** WA. It had good ratings , and I admit I didnt have a lot of time to check out other places. Someone had stolen our house key and I did not feel safe waiting to have my locks changed. The person who took the call said it would be $29 for a service call and $18 per lock to re-pin/ re-key the doors. When the technician came out he said it was $75 per lock ( we had 7 total) for a grand total of $609 ( including tax)! It was late in the day and I felt I had no choice but to agree to it. The receipt was sent to my phone and read locksmith services with a random phone number that didnt match any number on line. I also found that the tech had broken a s**** off inside one of the locks and didnt mention it when he left- i noticed it and texted him and asked him to come back and fix it. He has not come back out to do so. Ive asked for their business address and license and have been told they are a mobile service and have no physical address. The tech says he doesnt have the business license info and that his managers name is *****. When I searched this info on line I came across the better business bureau report on this so called business. I want to report them as a fraudulent business. I have the phone number of their office and the phone number of the tech that came out to my house.Initial Complaint

My boyfriend called this company and they quote my boyfriend $250. The tech service person came almost an hour late and then my boyfriend had to leave for work. So the service person said he can make me a fob key for $130 on top of the programming fee and it would be a $100 to cut the key. I said I would take a fob key but not cut it. When he program the fob key, the trunk button doesn't work. He was on facetime with his boss the whole time and spoke another language and then told me that it would $600 for a ****** original key and that he could get it to me later that day. I said no. Then he said my charges is $483.. for re-programming, fob key, weekend fee, and service fee. I said no, I do not want that bad fob key unless he can get the trunk button to work. He could not get it work and said I have to pay because the key is useless to them and that they already program my car. I said the trunk button doesn't work I don't want it. But he said he will drop the service fee and weekend fee and charge me $418 for the programming and (bad) fob key, and taxes. I still don't agree and but he said I have to. And that it would cost me $1000 at a dealership and I said at the dealership, my key would work for all buttons. Afterward, I called my boyfriend and my boyfriend called to ask for a refund for me. They would not refund me and they blocked him.The faulty fob key still doesn't work for the trunk button. On 3/6, I got to my car to find out the bad fob key doesn't work to open my car. My boyfriend took me to the ****** ******* dealership. They replaced the battery and found that key was still flashing constantly. The ****** ******* dealership tech said a button got stuck so it was draining the battery and they fix it. My car still each time I get in with the bad fob key can't recognize and beeps. It takes a while for my car to recognize the bad fob key. I was driving today and when I put it on park, my car beeps that it was looking for my fob key signal. I don't want this bad fob key and I have filed a complaint with my credit card company regarding this. I have to hear my suv beeps to look for signals from this bad fob key when I drive almost day and I can't use the button to get my trunk to open. If they can not fix the bad fob key to work for all buttons (including the trunk) then they should not force me to pay for a faulty product. I don't have problems with my original fob key. They sold me a bad fob key and force me to pay and refuse to refund me after my boyfriend called them. They did not give me a disclaimer that the key trunk button doesn't work. They can't fix the trunk button to make it work and less than two weeks, it didn't work due to the battery being draining by the buttons getting stuck. My dealership searched my vin number and found it will cost me $518 for a new fob key that is work properly. That service person is not knowledge and lied that dealership would charge me $1000 for a working original ****** fob key. They didn't tell me it is not an original ****** key before programming it, the trunk button wouldn't work, that my car will constantly beeps for signal to my car, and that the key battery would die less than 2 weeks of paying for the bad fob key. I don't want a bad fob key and I don't believe it is right of them to force me to pay for a bad fob key that they can't fix so all buttons work at least. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company for the $130 faulty fob key that I did want and was force to pay. I want my $130 back so I can buy a key from a trusted place like my dealership. I would not have button not working issues and if I did, my dealership would fix it. This company can't not their bad faulty fob key and I don't agree in being force to pay for something that doesn't work properly. They have 1 stars on ****** reviews with 108 people reviewing. This company is shady and I would like their business practices reviewed for illegal procedures and forcing bad faulty products on consumers. I don't think I am the only one that is getting scammed and taken advantage of if 108 reviews said they are bad and scammy. This is their site - ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** The Evergreen Locksmith Service is located in ********** but they are using this address ************************************************** to charge my credit card. I think this company should be looked at for bad faith business practices.Initial Complaint

11/30/23 I called ********** for locksmithing needs and was given to a tech only known as ****** **********. He refused to give me any truthful answer as to what business he was a locksmith with, and his business phone number since he had to call his boss to negotiate the price. I refused to pay the predatory $230 to open my door and offered him $60 including the $29.99 fee the original number told me. When I tried to get any information from ****** he became suspicious of me and cautious as to what information to tell me. I called the original number back and she told me he was her technician but didn't know his name. And refused to tell me anything more. This is a scam! Who knows who opened my door. Hopefully he didn't toss an airtag in so he can steal me car later.Initial Complaint

I contacted Evergreen Locksmith Services to get into a locked vehicle. They quoted a 20 minute response time and a $29 service charge, plus labor. The technician showed up an hour and a half later and undertook a 5 minute service to unlock the vehicle. I presented my credit card to pay for the service and the technician ran the card. it was when I received the text receipt that I realized that the technician had charged over $300 for a 5 minute unlock service. This is significantly out of line with the charges for other locksmith service providers and is extortion considering the service provided. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that the technician never provided a quote other than the one provided by the service call center and labor was not charged, just a blanket charge over $300. I am happy providing reasonable payment for the services provided, but this amount is basically theft.Initial Complaint

On 2-10-2023 I had locked my keys inside of my vehicle. I called them for a quote and they replied that it was 29 dollars plus labor. I needed to get into my vehicle, so I assumed that was for gas and whatever the technician charged and they said it would take ***** minutes for their tech to arrive. 50 minutes later, their employee arrived and told me the price was $290 but he would discount it to $220 for being late. I spoke with a representative and he reduced it down to $120 only after I had told him I did not have that much money on my card. I felt their lack of information and misleading quote was extremely predatory and searched reviews that informed me that this was a reoccurring practice of the business. They are the first result when I searched in my phone for a locksmith.Initial Complaint

I called them at ************ because my husband and I lost our keys somewhere along our three mile walk with our dog. We called at 1:40pm and were told someone would arrive within ***** minutes. The technician didnt arrive but called he was delayed for another hour from ************. I called the office back to get an update and see if someone could come sooner, then the tech called back and arrived at 3:19. He never checked our information before going ahead and unlocking our vehicle. Im shocked and was so distraught at the time being locked out thought it was off and didnt question it. He reassured me when we got home our spare key with the fob would work. I was quoted 120 on the phone then he charged me 350, way more than bargained. I felt I had to pay so I gave my card. Came home, found spare key and it does not work. Upon researching the company found many scam complaints. They need to be investigated because when I called to complain they offered to fix it for another 120 dollars and when I asked to speak to a manager no one was there and they refused to give me a mailing address. The whole experience has been odd and I just hope no one else locked out of their car gets taken of advantage by this company like I was
