      On March 14, 2025, I visited ************************** for a business meeting as an ****** employee. I parked my vehicle (2019 ***** Odyssey) in what appeared to be a general parking area with poorly maintained and faded signage. The space may have been designated for ***** but this was not clearly visible due to the deteriorated condition of the *********** vehicle was towed by ***** Towing at 11:42 AM. To retrieve my vehicle, I was charged $513.03, which included towing fees, storage fees, and other charges as detailed on the invoice. When I inquired about the unclear signage, the towing company representative admitted this was a "frequent problem" at this location, suggesting they are aware of the confusion yet continue to tow vehicles without addressing the issue.While I was informed of my right to appeal this tow, I was also told that filing an appeal would require a $200 court filing fee. This prohibitive cost effectively prevents most consumers from pursuing justice and seems deliberately designed to deter individuals from challenging potentially improper practices. The towing company appears to be exploiting customers' urgent need to recover their vehicles, knowing that most will simply pay rather than pursue the costly and time-consuming appeal process.I believe ***** Towing is engaging in predatory practices by:1. Taking advantage of known inadequate signage 2. Charging excessive fees ($513.03 for approximately 1 hour of storage)3. Failing to advocate for clearer signage despite acknowledging ongoing issues 4. Relying on the deterrent effect of the $200 appeal filing fee to prevent challenges to their practices Desired Resolution:I am requesting a full refund of the $513.03 I was charged to retrieve my vehicle. Additionally, I request that ***** Towing work with ************************** management to ensure visible signage is installed to prevent future occurrences. This practice appears to be an ongoing revenue source Please find attached documents.
