I must respond to the Estuarium, who promised to return my $100 donation for BBB case #********: "We will refund *** his $100." This hasn't happened yet, which is par for the course for this dysfunctional NGO, which should lose its tax-exempt status for promoting "woke" politics over equality of all minorities, including me as a neurodivergent (**), Ph.D. ********** It mattered not that I did much teaching, docent work, grant ********** etc. for that *** for many yrs. (2010-'18 & 2021-'24). I had taken a hiatus for past NGO dysfunction, as the ** then was unfortunately green (inexperienced/insecure) like the present **. Once I requested my donation back, the "gloves came off" as the Estuarium character-assassinated me for discrimination in reporting a dysfunctional staffer (****** ********) who not only didn't do the cat-sitting & yard work well, but refused to return my house keys & 3 days overpay, a type of extortion that led me to call the police. Yes, I was angry enough to denigrate ****** as a worthless liar, but surprised that the Estuarium sided w/ ****** in PC defensiveness. Although ****** was "off the clock", the Estuarium recommended ****** for my estate care while away on vacation, & the buck ******** stopped there for a responsible NGO. So I quit the Estuarium once I was excluded from an e-mtg., evidence that the present ** didn't even talk to ****** about trying to get along & move fwd. Indeed, the Estuarium begged me NOT to quit volunteering w/ them (the ** visiting my home for that) b/c they wanted to cont. receiving my donations. So they hold no moral high ground, but rather have bought into fringe-left politics as being more important than the scientific expertise I provided, including winning 3 awards last yr. for volunteer work w/ the Am. Fish. Soc. So the Estuarium is contributing to "brain drain" in the interest of protecting its discriminatory policies vs. **s like myself. Simply having a "sensory hr." for **s there is tokenism.e to get my ******** back, but refused to deal w/ the personality conflict b/w ********** b/c it wasn't official work. But it did spill over into official work last Sun., when *** staff (likely ******) excluded me twice from joining a Zoom training, yet no disciplinary action seems underway for such unprofessional behavior. And my donation to their Growing in Education *************************** is ironic/deceptive, as I received no such services for my donation. Rather, Paris was defensive & unwilling to admit that the personality conflict should be dealt w/.Hence, I'd like my donation returned for services unrendered, & for them to never contact me into the future. As a long-time Estuarium volunteer, I did so b/c the *** stayed apolitical & respectful, but that's no longer the case by refusing to intervene for 2 minority people. I find that discriminatory & unbecoming of a non-profit *** to go fringe liberal, avoiding an internal investigation to cover up their hypocrisy.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/25/2024

As you can see from the attached email correspondence, *** ***** repeatedly harased our employee, ****** ********. In the attached emails, her asserts that ****** is less than human due to their gender identity as a trans person. *** ***** violated our Harassment Policy (see page 7 of our attached ******************** Policies) and was therefore, banned from volunteering for Puget Sound Estuarium. The cat-sitting arrangement he made with ****** was made outside of the scope of Estuarium work, so it is entirely unrelated to the business of our organization. We will refund *** his $100. We will not tolerate discrimination and harassment of our staff, so he is not welcome to participate in any part our organization moving forward.

    Customer Answer

BBB has made it harder to respond re: complaints, but I did get my reimbursement from the Estuarium after a few weeks, which I cashed. They tried to divert the issue by playing the racist card, but that just means I'll never help or deal w/ them again.
