      2013 **** Fiesta purchased $8500 cash paid full on 07/25/2023. The vehicle was to have the windshield replaced and be delivered within 2 business days, as of this date 07/28/23 at 12:00pm the vehicle has not been delivered or customer notified to pick it up. Call placed to business 07/28/23 at 12pm. ****** was told the vehicle will not be available for several more days. It is being sent to have the windshield replaced.When purchasing the vehicle, the buyer was in a mental state of confusion and crisis. A crisis intervention was being put in place by Thurston County, DCR and family members. We have reached out to dealership this day. Requesting to cancel the vehicle purchase. It was requested the purchase be refunded and the vehicle become available for sale again. Explaining the buyer was struggling mentally and unstable when purchased. The events that let up to the purchase of the vehicle and confirm mentally incompetent are documented on file with Thurston County. When buyer becomes mentally stable and out of crisis mode the car may be purchased at that time. They were not responsive to our request and hung up on the caller.

      I am advocating on behalf of my adult son *************************** who is having a metal health crisis. We are working with ******** Count DCR. ***** has been in a state of confusion for over 14 days, and it was discovered he had stopped taking his medications. This caused him to escalate too uncontrollable.  ***** had told me he purchased a car and was confused because he couldn't find it. However, because of his behavior and delusions I needed to confirm it. I was able to track down the dealership and verify where the car was purchased with the assistance of other car dealers in the area. After reaching out to dealership they did confirm the car was purchased and paid in full however not available for several more days. I explained the crisis situation my son was in, and he was not mentally stable at that time was he purchased the car. He was having erratic behavior.  ******* the sales associate should have recognized that at that time something was wrong and tried also to get him help instead of taking advantage of him. However, with $8500 cash available in ***** hands at that time securing the sale was *******'s concern.  However, ***** has not took possession of the vehicle and the vehicle is not become available to him.

      I am hoping this can be resolved. ***** has lost his employment with this crisis as well.  We need to get him stable with working with available services.   He will need those funds until he is able to regain employment.

      ***** and his wife moved from ********* to Washington 7 years ago. They recently separated in May and ***** secured his own apartment. They have one young son. ***** was in the process of trying to regain his own life when he went into crisis. He has no family in Washington to help him through this. I had been trying to get him to seek immediate help. Including calling 911 for him within hours after he had purchased the vehicle, my hope was the vehicle purchase was a delusion.

      I am rejecting this response because: The sale should remain pending until the buyer has been able to inspect the vehicle and take ownership of the vehicle. The agreement was to have the windshield replaced and the car made available within 2 days of the agreement. As of this date the car remains with the dealer. And no visual confirmation per the agreement.  The buyer has not had his right to inspect the vehicle per the agreement to replace the windshield.

      *************************** called us several times after purchasing the 2013 **** Fiesta. He stated he was having problems and wasn't able to pick up his car. Then more phone calls came he stated he had a court date and was probably going to jail for a short bit and would get his car after he was released for jail. We were in contact with him many times. He called us after he was released from jail and said he would be in to pick up his car and was very apologetic about all the issues with his mom (*********************). 

      ***** picked up his car and was very happy when doing so. Again apologized for everything that went all during the purchase.

      *****'s mom (*********************) lives in a different state and was no part of the transaction we had with *****. Everything we said we would do we did, and had his car ready when he was able to pick it up.

      The car is not drivable and needs a new transmission.  

      It's unfortunately that a business can mislead customers taking full of advantage of them just to satisfy their greed. 

      It's all unfortunate the ******************* BBB allows such a business to operate in this matter.
