I placed a reservation for a one-night stay for April 5th checking out on April 6th knew it was going to be a late arrival so I called the hotel in advance to let them know making sure that my boyfriend could check in before me ****** front desk said no problem there will be $100 cash deposit I said we can't put it on a card she said no I said okay he arrived at the hotel about maybe 30 minutes later ****** she could not find the reservation at all. tried to tell him that we were at the wrong location I said no I just called I spoke you with about my boyfriend arriving early I'm about 3 minutes from the location she starts looking through all of her notes and realized she has checked us completely BEFORE we arrived. that's why she couldn't find the reservation to begin with okay I arrived and boyfriend is standing outside and he says we can't pay for the room in cash. the deposit IS CASH ONLY the room can't be cash and has to be a card so we drove around for over an hour until we found a place to deposit money onto a card. it was after 11pm we were able to put money on a card we go back to the hotel she runs the card for the payment for the room it goes through no problem then she hands me one form that says initial right here right here this initial is saying that you paid a $100 cash deposit. Add your vehicle info and sign at the bottom I said when do we get the deposit back she said in the morning VERY EASY tell him you're checking out of room 218 and they'll go check the room and you'll get your deposit no problem. So I sign and date everything and she gives me no copies of any receipts of any kind we were exhausted from traveling she didn't give our ID back either we had to call to get them we go to check out there is a man manager not sure his name at the front desk he says okay thank you I said what about the deposit he says there's no record of a deposit that because I didn't have a receipt she did not give us one he was not going to refund the money
