We hired Two Men and a Truck in Marysville Washington to move our furniture from La Conner WA to Redmond OR on August 29, 2022. The estimate they provided us from our inventory was for 10,295 pounds at a rate of .57 cents per pound. The weight of the truck prior to pickup was 17,400 pounds. The weight after the truck was loaded with our furniture was 21,320 pounds. The total weight of our items was 3,920 pounds. A gross miscalculation from the original estimate of our inventory. We contacted the manager, Frank Bernhardt, to discuss the miscalculation and request an adjustment. He agreed they were 'off' in their weight calculation. He, however, did say they initially gave us the wrong rate. He said instead of it being .57 per pound that it should have been $1.47 per pound. He offered us a 10% discount. We refused. We tried contacting the corporate office and they have not returned our phone calls. We will gladly pay for the 3,920 pounds but will not pay for 6,375 pounds of air. We filed a claim with the Federal Government but they said they can only note the complaint, not assist us with a refund. We hope you can help us. Thank you.
