    Our son, ******** ******-Pealver, was a member of ***************** until August 2024. We had been on a monthly autopay plan through Omega Fi for his annual dues and our payment of $512 made on May 3, ************************************ full, but we were notified that another payment of $1412 went through on June 3, 2024. When we brought this to the attention of Omega Fi staff, we were informed at that time that a refund would be issued, as reflected in *** ******** initial response, It looks like you were overcharged. I can issue a refund, or we can leave to go towards his summer semester and from *** *******, who explained, It looks like they set up AutoPay on October 22, 2022 to have a payment made on the first of every month for $1412.00. ******* was not turned off until after that payment was made. If you would like I can issue a refund. Let me know. Part of the overpayment was subsequently applied towards summer dues and fees, which ultimately led to a credit of $312 at the time of our sons departure from the fraternity. Since then, we have been in repeated contact with ******* staff but a refund for this overpayment never materialized and repeated efforts to resolve this issue were either ignored or rebuffed. When we appealed in writing, we were informed that $312 had mysteriously, and without our knowledge, been applied towards a ********* Gold Membership Single/Quarterly fee on 9/24/24 (notably after he had withdrawn from the fraternity). When we then contested this fraudulent charge, we were told, "*********** account has been closed, and there is no remaining balance or credit. It appears that any accumulated credit was not utilized before the end of the school year. Please note that, according to our policy, credits are intended for use while the student is enrolled and are not disbursed as refunds after account closure."
