On May 26, 2023 Better Business Bureau received a report about DJE Concrete & Construction and its tactics. DJE and its owner, John Taufa, have a demonstrated history of engaging in door-to-door sales tactics for small construction jobs, but after accepting money DJE only partially completes the job.
DJE and its owner, John Taufa, have been fined by the Washington Department of Labor & Industries as recently as October 2022.
BBB reached out to DJE Concrete & Construction requesting a current license with the Washington Department of Labor & Industries. No response was received. DJE Concrete & Construction also fails to respond to complaints filed against the company.

On October 28, 2022, Washington Labor & Industries fined John T. Taufa, owner of DJE Concrete & Construction $5,000 for a construction violation. DJE Concrete & Construction was fined for advertising, offering to do work, submitting a bid, or performing work when not registered as a contractor, as required.
