On 03/18/2024 I brought in my 1999 Jaguar XK8 CONV to have them fix the broken bolt and loose wire on the starter. I asked them to please keep it dry as we spent the previous month detailing every nook and cranny on and inside the car, it was running and driving smoothly it just clicked a couple of times before it starts up ( which it did on every attempt), so I brought it in. they told me they couldn't get to it until Wednesday the 03/20 I said no problem. I did not hear from them again Every contact was me calling, except the one time when they said I could pick it up but I need a tow truck. I decided to just get the car back and they said it wouldn't start so come back the next day That was on 04/10/2024. Thursday, the one time they called and said I need a tow truck, I said why? I drove it in, It shifted beautifully up and down no problem with brakes or anything else the starter just clicks once or twice Finally on 04/19/2024 I called and said I'm coming to get the car. When I arrived the car was in front running and the door was ajar. I waited in the lobby area while ***** was talking to another guy for a half hour. I drove it home (only mile away) and immediately noticed It was hard to put it in reverse and to put it in drive I basically had to force it and it made a CLUNK sound. I got it home I couldn't open the door to let myself out, the door wouldn't close and the windows kept falling down,the carpet was drenched and squishing. the computer module was taken apart and wet inside, there was no coolant in the engine and the odometer read ***** miles more than when I brought it in a month prior. (****** was when I dropped it off ****** when I brought it home) One of the times I called, on 03/28/2024 they said the battery is dead so I brought them a battery and a tarp to keep it dry. they lost the battery and tarp I had to ask for it and they charged me$15 in shop supplies(no description)
