In May 2022 my 2012 Range Rover HSE indicated and displayed a low coolant warning message. I contacted the Land Rover at Tacoma service advisor regarding this unexpected anomaly. He communicated that if the engine temperature gage indicated normal and the coolant reservoir was full that vehicle was safe to drive. An appointment was scheduled for June 6, 2022 for further diagnosis. Daily monitoring indicated the engine temperature gage remained at the normal level and the coolant reservoir remained full. As a precaution the vehicle was parked In the garage waiting for the June 6th service appointment. During that time oil was observed on the garage floor. Again the Land Rover at Tacoma service advisor was contacted for advice. It was agreed that I would have the vehicle towed to the Dealership. The vehicle was towed on May 16, 2022.Land Rover at Tacoma service department conducted a diagnosis the week of June 2nd. I received the following estimate:Service diagnosis and analysis $278.30 Radiator $2688.34 Oil pan gasket $12017.59 Front left strut $903.89 Rear Brakes ******* Total estimate: $19526.84 On July 18, 2022 I decided to remove the vehicle from Land Rover at Tacoma. During the time the vehicle was at the service department it occurred numerous paint scratches. (Before and after pictures available). It was towed to a different automotive repair facility. They immediately conducted a diagnosis and provided at estimate of $2938.28. This estimate included rear brakes and front strut. It was determined that a sensor for the coolant system also needed to be replaced to correct the original problem with and low coolant warning message. The work was completed in 2 days. The radiator and engine oil gasket repair were NOT warranted or required!Business response

The above customers vehicle was here, we looked over vehicle and gave recommendations of repairs needed. The customer declined repairs , paid the service estimate time of ****** and the vehicle towed to another service facility. no work was performed on the vehicle except what was recommended to the customer, again the customer paid the shop estimate and had the vehicle towed to another facility.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:no explanation was provided regarding the $16000.00 of unwarranted and needed suggested repairs. I agreed to their complete estimate of nearly $29000.00 in repairs. After having the vehicle at the Land Rover of Tacoma facility and a estimate of 2-3 months before the work could be completed I had the vehicle towed to a different repair facility. Before they would release the vehicle they required I pay the service charge. Please review the original complaint. They have not addressed any of the issues. Thank you

i have tried calling again at 245 pm, sent to voicemail. we estimated the car and gave what we saw as far as word needing to be done. customer chose to pay the hr estimate and have the car towed to another facility.Customer response

Land Rover of Tacoma has had my car for over a month telling me they need to do $10,000+ worth in repairs before I can get it back. The $5000 warranty they sold me covers next to nothing and now that Ive talked them down a somewhat reasonable price (only fixing one thing on the car) they have continued to push back the date on which I can pick up my car for over a week now. And now that it is finally ready they are quoting me $2300 out the door when I was previous quoted $1800. The $1800 is also what I approved, nothing more. And now theyre telling me theres nothing they can do other than talk to the manager who has been less than zero help. I just want my car back after 5 (going on 6) weeks and thousands of dollars being tossed around. No one has any answers and Land Rover is certainly not interested in doing the right thing and holding true to their word.Business response

case regarding *********************** with ******** . please update and close out. customer came and picked up car and paid for.. he stated becasue of time he should not pay for any of it. I was not able to do that but we came to agreement to get the paperwork finished up and paid for. customer paid and left the dealership..
