      Hello, I got a call from Collection telling me that Fife towing put me on collection. Because Fife towing saying that they towed my trailer and my Jeep and currently they are saying that they have my Jeep and my trailer, however I have my Jeep and my trailer at my house. I had to pay them $285. I tried to disputing with collection but they would put me on another collection so I paid it out for the collection not to go up.

      We were called by ********************** to respond to a vehicle abandoned on the roadway and unattended. That vehicle was a trailer loaded with a jeep and it was blocking a driveway. We responded to this call to impound it and were positioned to connect to it. The owner showed up during the process and *********** verified he was allowed to take possession of the vehicle. We collected the vehicle information and attempted to collect funds for the response to service from the vehicle owner at the time of service. He was non-compliant. We forwarded him a copy of the bill by mail. If the bill for service was unpaid for 30 days then it was forwarded into our collections process. It sounds like he has remitted funds for this response to service. We have no further cause for interaction.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      First claim that Fife Towing made was it was incorrect the trailer was parked in front of my house at the address ******************************************************* and it was not blocking my own drive way nor my neighbors house I can have my neighbor witness that it was parked directly in front of my house. (I have attached proof of residence.) 

      Police officer sent a note out that the trailer needs to be moved at the end of that day. When the tow truck pulled up to my neighbor hood my truck was already attached to the trailer and when I asked police officer that your note states that I have till the end of the day he did not have a response to that. After that the tow truck went and towed other trailers around the neighborhood. I requested more information from the police officer as well. 

      When I called Fife Towing they stated that they have my trailer and the Jeep. I requested proof that they have which I dint receive anything.

      I don't doubt that you may live at that address; that was not in question. That job lies with the police departments. We don't determine the criteria for initiating the call.
      I am sorry if you are displeased that the police department called us to respond in the first place. Our organization does not initiate those calls; we only react to them. Your displeasure with us being called lies with the police department.
      As I explained before, we are a private emergency responder. We respond to requests made by the police department. Unfortunately, these responses have costs associated with them. It appears that you settled that cost.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      when I spoke with the officer they said you had multiple units to tow in my neighborhood. The officer said we had that we also have till the end of the day to move the trailer. When you arrived I was already attaching my truck to the trailer. I understand if you had already attached the trailer to your tow truck I wouldve paid the drop fee no problem. My complaint is that you drove up to my house didn't attach my property and you are demanding me to pay for your presence. Your tow truck driver didn't even step out of his truck, so I am not sure what I'm paying for?

      If there was a request to ******* vehicle or 20 doesn't really have a bearing on the conversation. We were called to impound a trailer with a jeep on it at the direction of **********************. It looks like payment has already been made in regards to this issue. If there was an issue, I would have thought that would've been brought up prior to making payment. Sounds like the primary issue is with the police department making the request to impound the vehicle in the first place.

      I know that it doesn't matter how many cars were being towed, the issue is that you guys didn't even hook up the trailer. I know there's a drop fee but you guys never hooked anything up so there shouldn't be a fee. Also, I did try calling you and explaining it to you but you guys just gave me attitude and sent me to collections. That's why I paid so I wouldn't ruin my credit. So don't say I never tried contacting you. I would like a full refund due to you guys charging me for services you never did, and sending me to collection and using that as leverage.
