The dealership sold me a deleted truck that means altered emissions which is illegal for a dealership to sell a deleted truck I just found out that my truck was deleted for trying to find where to add Def fluid for emissions. And it's been changed and if my truck breaks down I can't even bring my truck to a mechanic because they won't fix it because it's been deletedBusiness Response

We have been dealing with Mr. ********** soliciting the business and threatening our employees nearly daily. Per the Washington state DOL examiner as of this morning 6/5/25, there is no wrong doing on this car deal on our end. Please no further contact from him or this topic. We have done absolutely nothing wrong in this transaction.
Thanks, Brady Austin.

I am rejecting this response because: the truck is a deleted truck it had it diesel particulate filter removed and replaced with a straight pipe exhaust.... I'm the one who told you for that year 6.4 L didn't have the DEF.. I was trying to find the Def because I couldn't find it because I was asked if it takes Def fluid.. I talked to a **** certified technician and he told me to go under the truck.. that the 6.4 l that year had participate filter. And to crawl underneath the truck and look for any egg-shaped parts on the exhaust when I couldn't find anything I explained to him it was one size in him formed me that it was removed and that means the truck was a deleted vehicle and to have the truck still running after they take the diesel particular filter off in the catalytic converter it would have to have an aftermarket tune for it to run again so no I am not bad mouthing or harassing your business you sold me a vehicle and your dealership wasn't supposed to be able to sell it to me and you guys acknowledged that you sold it to me illegally

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Austin Auto Sales. I purchased a used vehicle that appeared to be in excellent conditionclean, polished, and seemingly well-maintained on the exterior. However, within just a few weeks of ownershipless than 30 ***** began experiencing significant mechanical issues. After taking the vehicle to a certified mechanic, I was informed that the car has a blown head gasket, a serious and costly problem that will require approximately $3,000 in repairs. This situation is deeply frustrating, especially considering I am still making monthly payments on a vehicle that is not drivable. I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. The car was clearly not properly inspected or disclosed before the sale, and it is unacceptable that such a major issue surfaced so soon after purchase.I believe I was sold a lemon and am now exploring legal options, including taking the dealership to court for failing to uphold basic standards of honesty and transparency. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this dealershipdo your due diligence and have a third-party mechanic inspect any vehicle before signing anything.Business Response

Hello Sharrese,
Per our records we have never sold a "******** *******" a vehicle since we have been in business.. Was the vehicle that you are claiming to have issues with purchased by another individual? If so feel free to have the owner of the vehicle to call the store and ask for me specifically, Brady Austin.
We do not take light to these complaints, nor do we sell vehicles with known issues or that have not been looked at. Please remove this complaint considering it is untrue and there is no basis to make claims about our business that you have never personally done business with.
Thanks, Brady Austin.

I finance/purchase a 2004 ************ Escalade Tag Price $6500 Down Payment $1500 in hopes of Financing the remainder of $5000+taxes. Later after reviewing paperwork There was a Stolen Vehicle Coverage snuck in-$500 and also dealership failed to apply down payment and Finance entire amount of vehicle plus taxes.Business Response

Mr. ******, after review of your file and deal jacket I am not sure why almost 2 years later you are requesting 1500$ back from the dealership? You signed for the theft protection on the law contract and purchase order and for the product itself. There is no way to be able to sneak that in to a deal when you repeatedly signed for the product.
Thanks, Brady Austin.

On 01/25/2025 I traded in my 2020 ********* F150 for a truck at Austins auto sales. I owed ********* on my auto loan through *********************. I continued checking to see if the loan was paid off by the dealership but it never was.02/07/2025 I contacted the dealership about the loan not being payed off and the new months payment was about to be late. He told me I would get a call from the dealership but I never received a call. I called the dealership myself and was told again that finance would call me back but never got a call.02/11/2025 I texted the salesperson again and he stated again I would get a call from finance but never got a call.02/12/2025 I called Beneficial ********** and they stated dealership never called for a pay off. The **** stated I would have late fees starting 02/15/2025. I called the dealership and was told I would get a call back. I again never got a call back from the dealership.02/15/2025 I had to make a $446.98 payment on the loan for the truck I no longer own to avoid fees or credit hit. I called the dealership and again was told finance would call me back but again never got a call back from them.02/21/2025 I texted another salesperson I dealt with at the dealership and they stated someone would give me a call back but never got one. 02/26/2025 it has now been over a month since I sold the truck. I called the bank which stated the dealership called for a payoff on the 13th but never sent the check and the payoff expired 02/25/2025. I then called the dealership asking to speak about the payoff. The salesperson that answered the phone recognized that I have called multiple times. He stated the finance lady would call me by the end of the day. I again never got a call.03/03/2025 I called the bank and they stated they never received the check and no new call about the new payoff now that it is less since I had to make a payment on the loan. I called the dealership and was again told I would get a call back.Business Response

****** sorry to hear of any confusion regarding the trade in of your pick up truck. When you trade a vehicle in and have a payment due it is always suggested to do so considering this process can take multiple weeks due to mail and processing ETC. After asking the office manger who did actually speak with you today 3/3 it seems like your compliant is slightly untrue and unnecessary. Payoff on our end has been sent and handled and is at the discretion of the lienholder and their process.. sorry we do not own the bank. You will be reimbursed for any payments made via your Account with the lienholder for any dollar amount paid over the payoff amount.
As I said sorry for any confusion or frustration coming from our end here at Austin's. Hope you are enjoying the great deal on your new vehicle.
Best regards, Brady.

I am rejecting this response because:
I want to address a few things about the response from the business. I didnt get contacted by anyone until making this complaint. Im not sure what part was untrue. I did call on 3/3 and was told they would call me back. I did not say I didnt get a call since I didnt wait until the end of the day to submit the claim as I had been calling for over a month asking for contact and not getting it at all. I didnt want it to get to this point I just wanted communication to know what was going on. I was not told to make payments and the salesperson said I need to call until I get a response from the manager about paying off the vehicle before I have to make a payment myself. That may be miscommunication with the employees who knows. The comment about owning the bank wasnt really necessary. Ive contacted the bank and was told they never received a check to try to cash or process. I have never had this issue the past few times trading in cars. After making this complaint Ive finally got a response from the manager about the check and payments. I hope that it was sent and will be received by the bank soon as my second payment is coming up and Im now paying for two loans until the pay off can reimburse me for my two months of payments.Sincerely,

Mr. Sammalisto, as our office manager ****** told you, your over payment for your car payment due will be refunded by your credit union or bank. We apologize on the timing of you trading your car in and having a payment due. These processes sometimes take longer than normal due to the **** (holiday weekends, or weather). We sent the payoff in a timely and effective manner and the institution cashed our check. Call ****** at the office for any further assistance needed on our end.

I am rejecting this response because: you told me you contacted the bank in December. When I was there it took you about a month to contact the bank and get the payoff amount.. and that was on the 10 of January then confirmed on the 15th why did you wait so long to get ahold of the bank but tell me you did in December how did you know how much my car was supposed to be paid off I told you that it was about ***** and you told me you would contact the bank to make sure you winning until January 10th to make sure cause me to have another car payment which you and owe me $270 because it's your fault that I got that truck payment because you wanted to wait around 20 days. I have the Banks statement I'll subpoena your phone records as well as the bank phone records if you want to keep on playing games with me

Mr. **********,
Did you not get refunded your payment you made by your credit union after they cashed our payoff check? Are you looking to get another 270$ in addition to what they should have refunded you for your over payment? Once again, the payoff on our end was made in a timely manner and they cashed our check for the amount of payoff the bank gave us? We here at Austin's Auto sales are not trying to get over on you over 270$. Feel free to call the store and speak with General ****** **** or Owner Brady about the situation and your 270$.
Thanks, Brady.

My son (my name is on the car) traded in his car on 10/10/24 for a truck on their lot. As of 11/15/24 they still have not sent payment to the bank to pay off our trade. We are now making payments on both the car that we traded in and the truck that we purchased. We also noticed that they sold our trade in (the car) from their lot on 11/4/24 before it's even paid off which is not legal. The car should have been paid off within 2-10 days and it's been 36. We also cannot legally drive the new truck as the temp tags are way overdue and the dealership is not sending appropriate paperwork and agreed upon funds to our ***.Business Response
Date: 11/15/2024
Information in complaint is not accurate first and foremost. Payoff check was mailed within the ten day pay off period, it takes 7-10 business days to mail **** and then the bank all the way in ******** to process the payment at their discretion. We also have mailed the funds to the California DMV for the taxes, also not at our discretion when it is processed on their end. We have been in contact with the customer and now the mom through this whole process, not sure how this would equate to becoming a BBB issue? It is also not illegal to sell a trade in with a lien on it, signed release of interest in the vehicle when traded in and the customer has copies of all this paperwork that they signed. All is handled on our end and we hope you are able to enjoy your great deal on the truck!
Thanks.

Complaint: 22561391
I am rejecting this response because:The business' response is misleading. The vehicle purchase and trade in took place on 10/10/24. On 11/5/24 I called and spoke to the finance manager, who claimed the check had already been mailed to the lender. On 11/14/24 I again spoke to the finance manager as no payments had been made and no paperwork had been received by *** so that we could get the new purchase registered. The finance manager stated she was "just now figuring out the *** fees and getting ready to mail them" a check, telling us it was going to go out that same day. As of today, 11/18/24, neither the payoff check nor the paperwork and fees for the dmv has been received by either. This is well past the time frame the business has even stated in their misleading response to this complaint. It has been 39 days so far, and we have had to make payments on two vehicles now, instead of just one, so that we maintain our credit. I have been told several times I would receive a call back when I've called and never get one, and my husband called last week requesting to speak with the general manager of the dealership, calling several times, and each time told he would get a call back. No one has yet to call him back. And as for the legality of the sale of the traded in vehicle, the vehicle does not belong to the dealership to sell as it still belongs to the original finance company that hasn't been paid off yet. In reviewing RCW section 19.116.050, it does in fact appear this transaction, this business selling the trade in before it was paid off, is in fact illegal.
Sincerely,
****** *******Business Response

Everything on our end has been sent out and handled in a timely manner. Checks have been cashed now for weeks. If you are having issues redirect your point of contact to California DMV or your previous Lienholder considering they have cashed both of our checks. Technically, we have never even done business with a ****** ******* who is the complainant. Once again, we hope you enjoy your great deal on a great truck.

I am rejecting this response because: yes everything has now been sent but only because we made complaints. We still NEVER received phones calls back regarding this matter, it took way over the time allowed to send payments to pay off the car and *** and took many phone calls to even get that done and now that we are finally able to take care of the *** paperwork we noticed that you tacked on $10,000 to the bill of sale which we can't even dispute seeing as my son trustingly signed it. Lessons learned on his part. The truck sale price was ****** and bill of sale written by YOUR dealership is $35,951. Like I said, he learned a big ****** on reading paperwork very clearly as there are very dishonost people out there.

On Oct 17, 2024 , I purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 , it was advertised as lifted , DEF deleted & Tuned. I PURCHASED the extended warranty for $4500 (36months/36,000).When I test drove the truck it pulled slightly, the salesman said the alignment would be on me they wouldn't do it, and one of the projector highbeams was out. I took it in for an alignment and was informed this truck had a shoddy lift done, the wheel bearings are bad , the ball joints are bad, the front axle had shifted, the ***air bill is over $2700, here's the real problem ... this "gold standard warranty" is completely null & void due to the dealership not disclosing the aftermarket alterations to this truck that they sold it to me with. I believe they knew this truck had these issues and sold it to me in this condition otherwise why would a ***utable dealership not have the vehicle alignment done before selling it, simple answer is they couldn't have it aligned because they would have to ***lace all the parts that were bad. Austin's Auto sales fraudulently sold me a warranty. My cosigner spoke to ******* on Monday 11/11/2024 , provided him the ***air estimate and and was assured he could fix the "warranty paperwork issue" by Tuesday 11/12/2024 at noon, at 2:00 pm my cosigner emailed for an update, ******* responded by email he is still waiting for a response from his *** *** and that we would hear from him by 9:00 am today 11/13/2024. I am writing this complaint at 10:15 am 11/13/2024. This is a company that sells used vehicles overpriced with fraudulent contracts , and then gaslights you.Business Response
