    This business accepted my application for a rental of a house. The rental manager spoke to me on the telephone to inform me of my move-in date (January 10, 2025) which I said was ok (I even told her that my birthday is ********** so it's just in time). She also told me that they still needed a copy of my driver's license. I told her that I'd already submitted it at the same time when I submitted a copy of the three most recent paycheck statements but that I could submit it again. She said to email her a copy, and so I did. After that, I waited for a reply to tell me she got the email with a copy of my driver's license. That evening, I found an email from their office informing me they'd withdrawn my application. I replied to the email and asked the rental manager to call me. She didn't and never did.I finally got hold of her assistant, who told me they had leased the house to someone else. She said they couldn't get hold of me on the phone, but I don't consider that an acceptable excuse because they could contact me by email on that same day to let me know about withdrawing my application. If they sincerely attempted to reach me, they could've. I paid my application fee and provided my financial info, which more than met the requirements. I felt discriminated against and scammed. The reason they gave me for why they leased the home to the next person is unjustified. Even if they'd refund my application fee, they caused me anxiety, wasted my time, and got my confidential financial info.
