Avoid this company like the plague. Extremely shoddy workmanship on my eight year old roof here in *******, **. Additionally, ***** Mackinnon is a liar and therefore completely untrustworthy.My relatively new roof (the house is only eight years old) began leaking a few days ago, with water dripping through the master bedroom ceiling in several places. I contacted a roof repair company who turned out to be well qualified and extremely reputable. He fixed the current leak, but warned that I may indeed have problems down the road. He showed me examples of the extremely shoddy construction on the original roof, and explained that it showed all the tell tale signs of installers with very little experience.When I talked to Mr. ******************** directly on the phone, he out and out lied to me. He told me that he no longer worked for ******************** Design and was now part of a new company (KAM.) In fact Mr. ******************** is president of both companies, and never and employee of either. His pattern seems to be to shut down one company and start another. Apparently, this is a good way to avoid any liability incurred by his former company. When I asked what contractor he used to install my roof, he replied that he had no way to know that (as he had no access to those records.) The capable roofer who recently made the repairs surmised that he probably picked up some ********** guys from off the street. Judging by the quality of the work that was done, this seems a likely scenario.Avoid this guy like the plague. He is not stand-up at all.
