      My bill recently substantially increased. I wanted to discuss this with someone to find out the specific and detailed reasons for this. Also, I called the number on the website FIVE times. The first time I was stuck in a phone loop trying to sell me ****************** Plans. Shame on PSE for doing this. The second time I was connected to someone but when I let them know I was alarmed by the Advantage plan promotion, they hung up on me. Two more calls that told me the phone number I dialed was outside my calling service area. Odd, since it connected twice prior to that. The next call sent me to some directory assistance phone tree asking for what city and state I was calling to. I expect MUCH BETTER service from PSE. Don't be so corporate that there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE being provided. Seriously, shame on PSE.

      I am on what PSE calls the "budget plan." It is supposed to average out your bill over the year, so that your payment is roughly the same. Seems like a good idea until I got the end of the year and have to pay the amount that I was undercharged for the year. This resulted in one bill of over $500, and another for over $900. I am not sure how they can defend this.

Following is copied from our webiste. 

      How does the Budget Payment Plan work?

      To start, we estimate the total annual energy cost at your location based on previous energy usage, divide that cost by 12 months, and bill for the average monthly cost. If you have lived at the location for less than 1 year, the monthly average payment will reflect usage by previous occupants. If the location is new construction, the monthly average payment will be based on usage at similar locations.
      We review your actual energy usage and monthly payment amount in March, June, and November. If your actual energy usage is higher or lower than the estimate, then your monthly Budget Payment Plan payment amount may increase, decrease, or remain the same at those times.
      In June, we determine if you have over- or under-paid for actual energy used for the entire year (from June to June). If you over-paid, then you will receive a refund or credit. If you under-paid, you will be billed for the outstanding balance.

      I have been in contact with them for weeks about an overpayment. Staff have twice said they have to contact an internal team to resolve it. They do not get back to me in the timeframe they stated but do not follow up either.

      We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.  The delay in receiving the refund was due to several errors that occurred when the agents attempted to process the initial overpayment.  We have addressed these errors by providing feedback and coaching to the agents.

      PSE has refunded the initial payment of $1,100.00 to your original method of payment.  You will see the credit within 1-3 business days.

      They sent me a bill for an address I have moved out of 6 months ago. They send me a letter giving me a deadline to pay the bill or threatening me to send my account to collections for $46 over an account which I have closed and for a billing period I have not even used since I had moved out of the old place. Furthermore, the customer service are rude and incompetent while trying to tell my issue to them

      Dear ************,

      We have completed our investigation regarding your concerns.  Our records show that you contacted PSE on 6/22/2024 to request a move out at ****************************************  And at that time you were informed that if you needed the move out retro-dated you would need to reach out to the current tenant or apartment complex to take responsibility.  We unfortunately are not able to back date a request without someone accepting financial responsibility.  All move outs are processed day of notification.

      We then processed a final bill through 6/22/2024.Then on 6/30/2024 the new tenant at ***************************************** contacted us to take responsibility from 6/2/2024 forward.  It then became necessary to send you a new final bill through 6/1/2024.

      They sent me a bill for 2 months because they cant be bothered to send it on time. In addition to this, their online account system hasnt worked, requires a new password every time I want to log in, and now it wont allow me to create a new password at all. Fix your website and send out bills on time every month

      ***** from customer service was absolutely amazing. I seriously could not have asked for someone better on the phone. I wish that I could talk to him every time I needed help with something. I cannot thank him enough for being so helpful and very easy to talk to. If theres any way that I could reach again to seriously thank him for how amazing he was, I would like to. My experience was phenomenal!

      Had an outage strictly on our property, called the emergency line and they had someone out within 40 minutes during after hours!! ****** showed up and was so efficient and helpful not to mention quick!! Best service I received in this county in my whole life!!!!! Im not a review leaver but I had to hop on here at 12:30am in the morning because I was so impressed!!! Well done PSE

      Our power went out at 8am. They told us it would be back on at 1:30pm, then 5:30pm, and then 8:30pm. Right now it is 8pm and we still have no power. We have a fridge full of groceries that are going to waste and refrigerated medications as well. I do not understand why it is taking over 12 hours to get power back on. If it doesnt come back on soon we are going to have to go to a hotel. Really disappointed with this situation.

      PSE can do "meter reads" by estimation!I have a vacant home with solar panels. Everything is off. Last month the bill was less than 10 bucks. This month ****** why because that was their estimation. They are a private company, a self regulating entity. I was told by a PSE rep that estimates are permissible and common practice. Maybe they will respond to this review asking me to call, seems like that's their mo. I already called after some strong words they agreed to do a physical read within 30 days. Said I could pay and possible get a credit back. I said well can you call me and let me know once the meter is truly read, nope. But yeah comment below so I can call again to spend another 50 min to accomplish nothing. I wonder how many elderly people are dealing with these predatory state sanctioned practices.Be nice if these political leaders could demand we are charged what we owe, the energy we use, not what the bill collator thinks we owe.

      It would be no stars if I could. Never make an overpayment! From my banks website so if the money wasnt there it would not have gone through! They say I have to wait 11 WORKING days to get my refund. They only do refunds on ******************* Would they put up with that from us!!!!
