      I signed up for their service for the company I work for. The software worked OK. I really do not have a lot of complaints about the product other than the pricing is very high. My problem happened when we went to renew. We received an email from the sales person at 9 pm on the last day to renew. The renewal included a 65% price increase. Within 3 minutes of receiving this renewal email we responded and said NO. This is too expensive and we wanted to talk about it. Over the next month we continued to push for a meeting with multiple emails. Stating we can not afford this service and do NOT want it. After one month the sales *** responded and got on a phone call with us. He said that we had passed the cancellation period but was sure we could cancel it. He had us contact the accounting department. We did. Filled out a very extensive form with the long email trail showing how we did not want the service. We never heard back from accounting. They continue to send us statements. Again, a different person from the company reached out to SmartSheet. We had a nice conversation with a customer service person and they again told us, it should be not problem and asked us to fill out the same form again. We documented all conversations with the sales team, customer service team and accounting team. Again we did not hear back and figured it was resolved. Fast forward 6 months: We receive an email from the accounting department stating we had a zero balance on our account. Almost immediately we received a statement from a collection agency with 20% more fees added on. After careful review with an attorney, we decided to pay for a service that we had cancelled. Did not want but knew that it would cost us more in legal fees to fight them. This company is not honest and fraudulent in their practicies. I also feel that they have an agreement with the collections agency in their fraudulent business practices. STAY AWAY from them.

      We tried this out, and it didn't work for us. I canceled my subscription and deleted my account months ahead of renewal anticipating this, but now we keep receiving threatening emails from an unmonitored AR account. This is unethical and harassing behavior consistent with the worst business practices, and if this is happening broadly, the company should be investigated for fraudulent billing practices. Find another vendor.

      We are a sign company based in ******* and we are blessed to be busy all year around.We were in a position where we needed a *** to handle the daily workflow and we came across Smartsheets.After multiple calls, Smartsheets sold us an *** automated customer process with 3 levels of data that would automatically communicate with each other for us to be able to review the individual customer at a glance, review the customer base at a glance, and, as owners, we would be able to see the company daily status at a glance but the *** program dishonored.We approved the $5000 set up fee and the $1800 yearly cost to use the program.We spent weeks working with the implementation person only to find out that the system is not automated and that we would manually have to connect the 3 levels of data one click at a time. Each customer would require close to 60 individual steps to connect the sheets. When I ask for Smartsheets to honor their original sales of an automated system I was told it would cost me an additional $5000 to set up and an additional $1800 a year of service cost.We really wanted to use the system but found the bait and switch sale performed was unreasonable I asked for Smartsheets to keep their initial promise and complete the work as promised. The request was met with more try's to fix the problem by more customer service team members and programmers that finally told me that connection the 3 sheets automatically was impossible.Since the program is not working and Smartsheets has not fulfilled their sales pitch I asked for a refund of the investment of $6800 which was denied, stating the funds was used to set up the platform for our company.I said fair enough, refund me the $1800 for the year which we have definitely not spend and this was denied as well.I am writing this, for other possible buyer, to be aware of the tactics used by Smartsheets and the less than honorable business practices. In business bait and switch is just uncalled for.
