    Was informed earlier this year that my PCP would be leaving this practice to start her own, my insurance did not cover her new private practice so I decided to stay with Overlake. From the first visit after my PCP left in February I have had extreme issues with being turned into collections for an insurance billing issue by their own internal failures. Additionally, the doctor ******************************* is holding patients hostage and forcing me to come in every 3 months for prescriptions that require yearly check ins so that he can bill insurance on a regular basis. He is also engaging in some sketchy subscripton service for medical care that he is pushing me to pay for outside of my insurance coverages. I feel like I am being taken advantage of and this doctor is just grabbing money any way they can.

    To avoid violating HIPAA compliance, I will respond in general terms with regards to our clinic policies and procedures.

    It is clinic policy and general standard of care that refills of controlled substances require an office visit at least every three months.

    Overlake Family Medicine does not tolerate patients being belligerent, threatening and using expletives when communicating with any of our staff.

    If a patient appears out of control and staff members and patients may be in danger, we contact law enforcement to intervene.

    I have been practicing medicine at Overlake Family Medicine for 24 years and I do not recall any other complaints against our facility.

    I am rejecting this response because: This response does nothing to alleviate the pain and suffering caused to me by being passed thru *********************** staff and made to feel as if I indebted to the clinic in some way, refusing service without payment when I had 2 insurances on file is MALPRACTICE at best ******. Sorry your clinic is suffering financially but it is not your patients responsibility to float you the cash. You have caused me weeks of withdrawals from the medication you refused to fill. Take some accountability. Additionally you say you don't recall any complaints in your 24 years of practice, A quick yelp and ****** search for your name suggest the complete opposite of that and that what I have experienced is commonplace treatment by you, your wife, and your billing clerk.
