I purchased a jacket from my local Tommy Bahama store which retailed for $158 and on sale for $79. Less than 9 months later the zipper completely snapped in half despite occasional delicate cold washes. When I contacted Tommy Bahama customer service, they asked for the ** number on the inside tag and said even thought I purchased it recently - the garment was made a few years ago and therefore out of warranty. Why should I be penalized for this when it was a new (expensive) purchase in the brick and mortar retail store? This seems crazy to me and I'm disappointed the brand doesn't stand behind its quality - for this I won't be shopping there anymore. Purchased a 20 inch Tommy Bahama rolling suitcase with telescoping handle, which is now broken. The suitcase is still in good condition. I emailed and spoke with Tommy Bahama in February 2025 and they claimed they had no way to repair or supply replacement parts. They referred us to ********** in **, and ***** Luggage. Despite multiple phone calls and emails, no response from either of these companies, which I will also file a complaint about. ConceptOne have never once even answered the phone or had the common courtesy to respond. Is it asking too much anymore to get a company to respond and stand behind their products?Business Response

Unfortunately, as a third-party retailer, we do not carry replacement parts for these items. For luggage that is beyond a year old or when we do not have purchase information, we refer guests to the manufacturer for warranty coverage. In this case, we were unable to verify the purchase details or confirm when the item was bought, so we directed the guest to the manufacturer for further assistance.Initial Complaint

Tommy Bahama Ecommerce Purchased an electronic gift card for my mother in law. We realized after the fact that there was a slight typo in her email address. We realized this after the electronic gift card was received.Multiple attempts to open a case with customer service for resolution. They claim that they couldn't find the gift card with any phone numbers or email provided (or credit card that the purchase was made under).We were left with a $200 charge, and no gift-card, or refund. By the time we were made aware that the issue couldn't be resoved by Tommy Bahamas it was too late to reverse the charge with the credit card company and they closed our case without remedy.Initial Complaint

These items were purchased on 7/15/24. I have dozens of Tommy Bahama outfits and that size always fits me well. One dress is way too big and the other has built in shorts which I dont like despite never mentioning that in the description. I tried to initiate a return. At that point I found out that the sale was final. This was not referenced when I selected the outfits as is the common practice at every other website Ive utilized. Its not even mentioned in their return policy either. I went back to the page and its mentioned in the upper right hand corner in a small font and it blends in with dark backgroundsmall black lettering on dark blue background. The only exclusion in the return policy is purchases at an outlet which this isnt.Initial Complaint

I AM BEING HARASSED DAY IN AND DAY OUT WITH EMAILS FROM THESE TOMMY BAHAMA PEOPLE AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY ARE. I HAVE NEVER DONE AN OUNCE OF BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER! I HAVE NO IDEA IF THESE EMAILS ARE FROM THESE TOMMY PEOPLE OR SCAMMERS. ALL I KNOW IS I WANT THEM TO STOP AND THERE IS NO WAY TO STOP THEM AS THERE IS NO UNSUBSCRIBE BUTTON ON THESE EMAILS. Company runs promotion and by the time you get your reward card they make excuses not to locate and place the order. You are left on line for over 40 minutes only to have inept employees say unfortunately we cant help you. Corporate number disconnects or sends you back to inept customer services.Initial Complaint

I was given a birthday present of a linen shirt with the price tag of ******. I went to a store (************) and was told I cant be helped because it wasnt purchased there. All tags were intact and clearly Tommy Bahama. I then sent pictures to corporate and " they couldnt open my pdf". Suddenly they wanted to give me ***** because they found it and it had been marked down. The amount of time and run around was to make me give up but I was in customer service internationally for 40 years and know this cant be policy. They need to be aware how their own people arent standing behind their product.Its principle at this point.Business Response

Even though he item in question is a third party purchase and was not sold directly from Tommy Bahama, we have offered a Tommy Bahama Gift Card for the sticker price of the item; $110. The item is currently being sold via ********* online and in their stores for $66. Without purchase details, directly from Tommy Bahama, we are unable to refund this estimated cost in cash or to a credit or debit card. Multiple attempts to reach the guest via the phone have gone unanswered and our sole communication has been through email. I have sent numerous pictures of the tag. They keep saying I will get a refund but never happens. Spent hours on this and passed to 4 different people. I'm trying to run a business and spent way too much time. They told me they can't open pdfs which is not true I'm sure. If I ever get reimbursed it will be a miracle .Initial Complaint

On 5/20/23 I placed an on line order with tommybahamaus. Order number #***************, The order totaled $85.00 and I used my credit card. They said delivery in **** working days. My order still has not arrived and it is Aug 11, 2023. I have followed the order on their tracking page and it has been "stuck in customs" since June 16. I have sent them emails and have only gotten robotic responses. I Purchased a beautiful Raw Coast Tommy Bahama king size comforter set on January 16. This set was purchased through Wayfair and cost over $200. This morning, August 9, while making the bed the underside of the comforter ripped. This should not have happened. It has been well taken care of, no abuse to this comforter whatsoever.I did call Wayfair and they said they have no way to make it good. This comforter is only seven months old.Business Response
