KL Accounting had promised to file my 2020 taxes on time and provide me with the tax information I needed to make the correct and appropriate payment to the ***.KL Accounting did not file my taxes on time. They applied for an extension without telling me, to extend to October. When I inquired why they had not sent me a bill yet for their services to file in April 2021, I received no response. My last interaction with them was one June 2021 to which there was no reply. In October 2021, I was contacted a week before the taxes were actually set to file, though I thought they already had been filed. KL accounting called me for information in order to file my taxes and informed me that they had not yet filed them. They have no indication of my owing money to the *** at this point. They encouraged me to come that week to sign some papers, but did not tell me it was to prevent a late filing fee. I was unable to come by the Friday they suggested and went the following Monday to sign the paper. When I arrived the receptionist told me I owed over **** in taxes, and that there would be late filing fees. The business owner had no response when I inquired why I had not been alerted sooner about how much money I owed, or why they had my taxes extended. They also claim my late fee was from not paying by January 14th. The *** agent reported that the payment was late a week after they had submitted the taxes, which I was also not informed about when I would have to pay the taxes by until after they were already late. During 2022 tax season, I had my 2020 taxes reevaluated, they were not resubmitted, but the ***** organization determined that the 2020 did not correctly apply all my deductions for my small business. KL Accounting was provided the same information as *****. The ** is requesting I pay them full price for insufficient, unprofessional service they provided.I contest this, and will not pay for the quality of service I didnt not receive.
