I had my car repaired by Blakemans and when it was completed I went in paid for it and was going to take my car however he said there was a couple more issues one of which was supposedly the battery and a coolant leak. They kept the ***** to fix those issues then when it was done he told me on Thursday night that my car was done and the amount owed was $222.69 so I told him I'd come in Friday to pay it and take my car. When I got there the cost had all of a sudden changed from $222.69 to $451 and some change. They told me it was from a tow bill from a previous repair which I asked about multiple times because I already paid the differential cost which was when the car was towed. The owner the night prior had said what I owed was $222.69 then come morning it's all of a sudden jumped up a couple hundred in cost and they are saying it's cause of the previous repair and the tow fee with that but I already paid for the differential and everything that was with that cause that's why he was doing the other repairs cause I had paid off the balance due. I'm not understanding how they can add on something from a prior repair that's already been paid. When I asked the owner about all of this he started screaming and yelling and saying nasty things, being very disrespectful and nasty mean tweaking out and screaming so loud people around me could hear him I even at one point said there's no need in you behaving like this and talking to people this way. One of the repairs they supposedly did was for a battery which the owner told me he charged $30 for a battery from his shop so I told him if you have one use it if not just put a new one in and on my bill it says he replaced the battery however I know he didn't cause the clock didn't cha ge and it didn't mess up any of my radio stuff it's all still programed along with the time and everything which shouldn't be if a battery is replaced and he also charged me $43 and change for the battery yet told me it was $30 from him.

We really tried to serve this customer well. She first reached out in December for a quote on a rear differential job after being told that it would be upwards of $5,000 by the dealership (where the vehicle sat). So we priced out parts and put together an estimate that came in around $1,500. They were happy with that price and said they would have us do it, but then we didn't hear from them again for several months. When they eventually reached out again the cost for parts had increased, but we decided to honor our original quoted price for the differential. While their vehicle was here, we travelled to them to do a tire service on another vehicle -no charge, and they came into the shop for a tire patch -again, free of charge. They asked if we could remove the decals from the windows, and we did it without adding anything to their bill. When we tow a vehicle here for repairs it is policy to have the repair bill and tow bill paid before releasing the vehicle. When they came to pick up the vehicle they were supposed to bring a battery, as the one in it was dead, but they weren't able to get one. We informed them that we could install a new one, but she was concerned with the price, so the owner said he may have a used one for $35. She said to do a used one if we could, but otherwise install a new one. We also let her know that there was a leak in the thermostat housing so they decided to leave the vehicle and have us do those 2 things. She paid the repair bill for the rear differential, but not the tow bill. The receipt for her differential clearly stated the services she paid for. The tow was not on there. Since the vehicle wasn't leaving that was fine. We replaced the thermostat housing, and found and installed a used battery. If we hadn't installed a battery, the clock and presets wouldn't work at all, and the car certainly wouldn't run. We charged $35 for the battery, but all sales get automatically marked up in our billing system, so it came out to $43.75. While we understand that she feels the tow bill should have been paid for with the first service, it was not. Our secretary tried reaching out to her with her number on file and left multiple messages with a phone number to call back on to go over the bills and charges before pick up both times. No calls were returned to the call back number. She reached out to the owner for the repair bill, and he gave it to her. Unfortunately towing is a separate system and a separate bill.
