I brought in my 2016 Jeep in April 2025 to have the lifters and rockers replaced, as there was a classic ticking noise. As of this writing, it is still there.*** was the mechanic who worked on it, and he had said he does not do much mechanical work anymore. I was told by one of the staff members that *** probably should have another mechanic do the repairs, but that the other mechanic (their top guy, who I believe is good) would be keeping an eye on the situation. The repairs were delayed several days as he needed to order parts. I finally brought the vehicle in, and it then took longer than I was told, as *** needed to order additional parts and tools that were not part of the initial repairs. I went in in the middle of the repairs, and saw the Jeep. The front timing cover was off (not part of the normal repair protocol), there was oil everywhere, sand/cat litter all over the running boards and around the engine, and there appeared to be debris in the engine. *** assured me that everything was going fine, and the engine actually looked remarkably good inside, with no scorring of components, engine internals looked clean and good, etc... ). *** also told me it was taking him longer than expected, and that he had spent the better part of the weekend reviewing ******* videos to learn how to do the repairs. When I picked the vehicle up several days later, there was a new sound, that had not been present. *** was unable to figure out the new noise, and I drove the vehicle less than 3 miles, it shut down, went into limp mode, made horrible grinding noises, and was pouring oil out of the bottom of the engine. I took video of this. The owner, ***, has taken over a month to respond to emails, and has refused to make this right. I have filed a complaint with the *****************************************************.

I am ** ****** **** and am Counsel for *** ******* d/b/a All-Service Citgo.  I have attached a response by *** directed to the **************************** of the ***********************. Mr. ****** is a private investigator out of **********. He is not the owner of the **** in question, and has only apparent authority to request repairs on the Jeep.. The Jeep is not currently registered, the last registration was 2 years ago in the State of ***************  By admission ****** unlawfully drove the Jeep to VT from *******. ****** also visited a different auto repair business who diagnosed the issue, telling ****** the Jeep needed a new engine and declined any further work on the Jeep. ****** then brought the Jeep to All-Service. Repairs were made on the upper level of the engine. Further investigation which involved certified Jeep mechanics revealed that particular type installed in several **** models has had the same issue. The low oil pressure is a classic indicator of the problem that lies deep inside the engine involving the pistons and connecting rods. *** ******* relayed this to ******. ****** then accused All-Service of causing the problem and began a series of aggressive demands with ***. The demands centered around a new engine purchase and installation. This involves a large amount of time and money. As well ****** has not paid All-Service for the work performed.

At this point *** contacted me for legal advice. After learning the facts, I advised *** to not perform any additional work on the Jeep and to stop communicating with ******. ****** had previously admonished *** not to involve lawyers or the police. After I contacted the local police to determine ownership of the Jeep, an officer contacted ****** who became engaged and began to post negative reviews on ****** and Yelp both with highly selective facts and exaggerations. He contacted the ***** **************************** and BBB.  ******** attempt to bully *** into a replacement engine failed and he began to lash out.

I responded to ****** advising him to file a civil suit. I further advised that since he has not paid for the repairs, All-Service has a lien on the Jeep and it will not be released until payment in full is tendered. All-Service has supplemental documentation to support ***** position.
